I've just sold my GS2

It's funny how life works out. A year ago I was looking to upgrade my phone and I was considering getting an iPhone. But after being told they were sold out I went for the GS2. I can honestly say I haven't been one bit disappointed in that decision. Not only did I end up with a phone that in my eyes wipes the floor with the iPhone it also meant that I turned up here as a naive Android noob. Without that decision I'd have never met you guys who I'm proud to call my friends.

Anyway, enough of that soppy crap, my new GS3 arrived yesterday so I have parted company with my GS2. So I guess you will have to find some other member of staff to poke with a stick until they cater for you every whim

Seriously though it's been a blast so you won't get rid of me that easily. I'll still be hanging around to help out.

Good for you butty. I had a go on one yesterday, and you're not going to regret it. Its amazingly smooth and the screen is outstanding. It pains me to say it, but It puts our measly gs2's in the shade.

Suppose you'll be starting off a gs3 modem thread pretty soon then!

Lucky man

every so often I think about getting an iPhone, but then I remember how limited it is compared to Android and I can't do it. Plus I have an iPad so I have the best of both worlds this way!

How much did you sell your S2 for if you don't mind me asking? Im really tempted to do what you've done, but I don't know whether to do it now (while my S2 still has a relatively good value), or wait until the S3 comes down in price, by which time my S2 might not sell for as much. :thinking:

You're not wrong there, I'm loving it already. I'll be making a modem thread some day although as you know i spend every waking minute searching for modems for the s2. I guess I'll just have to wake up earlier.

I was playing with one my friend just bought. I love it.
I just missed the 4 days promotion, where local carrier was offering them for $300 to regular customers, to celebrate the launch in Malaysia.

But I will certainly get it, eventually

Just need to find suitable home for my current GS2.

I am going to wait a while to get my GS3. They are still a few bugs popping up that I want them to work out first.

Well, i am going to stick with my SG2, its just over two month old, and the main pieace why i am not going to buy sgs3 becouse of the same camera. If there would be a better camera, i would think about it, but now, in my opinion it just not good enough for swap. Only thing what is worth for swap is the screen, who looks really good. Anyhow, its not offering anything super new (stuff like in older phones presented like wifi, gps, video call, touch screen, big ass screen ), and i just going to wait for SG4, who would be something really new. (flexible, new sensors, any other stuff) . But if there would be swap for free, i would not think twice

It actually IS a better camera, as it has updated sensors.

I heard that, but i also heard that is not a big deal, and the only up for galaxy s3 camera is a updated sofware, so i guess, its just a matter of time when its be cracked for S2. Also i found that S2 have 2mp front camera, and S3 haves 1.2mp. Why it steped back?

GS2 = 2MP Front Camera
GS3 = 1.9MP Front Camera

Again, don't look at the numbers. More megapixels doesn't always mean it's a better camera. The front camera also has updated sensors and software.

Agreed. Despite having similar megapixels the camera on the gs3 is actually a lot better. Before this turns into a which is better thread, which wasn't actually it's intention. I'd just like to say thanks to everyone who helped me out with my gs2. You have actually made me appear a lot cleverer than I actually am and without your help I wouldn't be where I am now.

Apart from the mind blowing display of the S3, one of the first things I noticed was how high quality the front camera's image was.

Sorry about my mistake, checked in one site when searched for those new sensors on S3.

You can also can find statement in some other sites that S3 haves 12mp camera, so its kind of confusing.
