So the Asus TF101A1 has caught my eye. At TigerDirect it is currently on sale at $279.99 shipped. But I'm reading the various threads and disappointments with the ICS update and whatnot. I'm also worried about buying into "outdated" technology and I'm seeing the mention/recommendation for folks in my position seeking a tablet to shoot for the Asus Transformer TF300. But it retails out at a little over $100 more...
I currently have a Droid X (I know a whole different animal than a tablet) but my reasoning into entering the tablet world is - I can hold out as far as upgrading my phone awhile longer and use the money to purchase a tablet. I'm really into "tech" and the android operating system and would very much enjoy and get a lot of use out of a tablet for browsing the internet, email, maybe some occasional gaming, and just having a sleek and portable techy device to play with
I also have my eye a little bit on the Motorola Xoom. How does it stack up against the ASUS? - both the TF100 and TF300?
Any general opinions on this and pointers on which way to lean?
Thanks.
