Evo V 4G live on Virgin Mobile USA site....

Okay wow that's weird. They said it's been "processed" so she can't cancel it. BUT she's putting out a message to cancel the order in case it ships? But if it ships and I receive it I'm supposed to refuse delivery so it can go back to them and be fully cancelled?

What in the world. I took a supply chain mgmt class once, I thought I understood these things better.

Same for me.
I ordered mine through RS and VM failed to cancel.
I guess I will have two of them for 6D pictures!

VM told me my card will not be charged if I refuse delivery. I put more $$$ in my account since I don't believe them.

Hello all. Check your local Rat Shack stores. I'm in Jax, Fl and found one here. There were two more at the store I bought it from. Other threads on AF have people getting them locally in MN, OH, DC, NC, etc. I thought no way would it be in my hometown, but it was. Problem is, I cannot activate it. VM website keeps giving me the phone insurance option, but won't let me into my account. Customer "no" service is closed, and the automated phone walk-through keeps saying sorry, call back and talk to a live rep. So, in the end, what is worse? Not having the phone at all or having the phone and not being able to enjoy it????

"This email is to let you know that we were unable to process your order# due to an issue with your payment method. Please call 1-888-322-1122. Make sure you have your order # handy when you call. Please respond by 6/10/2012 11:12:35 AM or your order will be cancelled."

So does this mean the cancellation I had them put on the order made it actually cancel?

There's a $1 charge on my credit card right now from virgin mobile...

I now have a full charge for the phone on my account.
I guess I'll keep whichever one shows up first and return the other.

I've had my own horror story with VM. I ordered the phone on Friday and did not receive any order confirmation. I tried calling customer service, but they could not locate my order by email address or credit card number.

I gave up and ordered from Radio Shack. Two days after placing my order I received an email from VM informing me that my credit card had "problems." When I called VM they identified my card and order. But since I ordered from RS, I cancelled the order.

Later in the day, my credit card company calls to question if I placed the order with VM. I told them I cancelled it and yet, they posted the charge for the phone.

Anyone else have a bad time with Virgin Mobile or is this just my bad luck?

Checked my order status again and it is no longer Backordered, it is now Pending. I've never ordered a phone direct from VM before - anyone familiar with what that status means? I can only hope it means they are ready to ship out tomorrow (Monday)!

Mine says "Pending" too. I look at this as a clear upgrade from "backordered". I am hoping that come end of Monday, status will say "shipped".:)

Alright guys, just got off the phone with Virgin. The guy says that submitted is supposedly the final order status, and that the phones will be shipped out tonight. If you picked overnight shipping, like myself, we will (allegedly) have the EVO in our hands tomorrow! Very exciting stuff! He implied that tracking numbers is not something Virgin does, which is very sad indeed, but maybe we'll get lucky, I will be wrong about that last point, and it'll show up in order status. Keep checking!

That customs hold up is for the HTC Evo 4g LTE not the HTC Evo V 4g they are completely DIFFERENT handsets

Umm your wrong sorry :p Several types of htc's were held including the design and evo V. Why would boost mobile/VM mention it on their facebooks if it was only the LTE when it isn't even 1 of their phones ? It is on their sites because they were directly effected as well:rolleyes:
