Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Hey folks...been absent for a while here - real life has been kicking my butt, time-wise! Anyway, I woke up to the 4.04 update, tried it, but got the little android on his back with the red triangle on top of him. I'm rooted/unlocked, but still stock otherwise. Has anyone figured out what's causing this OTA from coming through? I REALLY don't have a lot of time to jack with this thing...just need it to work without constant badgering to do the update! :)

Also, did you flash the leaked radios? I know you said you were stock, but I had the same issue and had actually forgotten that I wasn't "stock." I flashed back to the .02 radios and it worked like a charm.

NCT do you have ClockworkMod recovery installed?

That would stop it...

Chief - I hate to sound so ignorant, but how would I know for sure? I don't see it under apps, nor do I see a folder for it.

No, I didn't change the radios...still the original stock radios.

It wouldn't be in your apps or on the SD card. This is a system recovery image. You could check by powering down your Nexus, then hold down BOTH Volume+ and Volume- buttons while hitting the power button at the same time. All three simultaneously. This will put you in bootloader mode.

Use the Volume - button to select Recovery Mode and hit the Power Button. Then tell us what you see. If ClockworkMod Recovery comes up, then that's what you've got.

EDIT: Oh BTW I'm not sure about the stock recovery, but there is an option to reboot the phone normally :)

You just need to flash back to the stock recovery.

there is a file that you renamed or deleted for CWM to stick. Simply rename the file back to the original name, reboot the phone and the bootloader will flash the stock recovery back (i think). It should be in the All things Root sticky.

Well, you can do what I did:

Download the AOKP Rom build 38, and gapps, and flash those puppies :)

I LOVE THIS ROM!

I can guide you step by step to doing that. If you want to revert to the stock recovery image, someone else is going to have to chime in because I don't know how to do that one.
