Hey guys.

So I've had my DROID maxx for a couple days now. I've barely used the phone other than texting and a little of browsing. I am at 10 hours of usages and down to 30%. Can someone give me some advice. I've done everything I think I can do to help my battery life but I feel like I am not getting what its made to get.

Thanks alot. Any questions or advice is much appreciated!

Wait a week, watch your stats in your usage.

Yep. Thinking your battery is bad after just a couple of days is incredibly premature. You have to give it several cycles before you can really tell. And as others have said, look at your battery stats. One of the biggest things is what your screen on time is. 10 hours and down to 30%, depending on your usage and how much your screen is on, is still quite good compared to most LTE phones.

And, remember that 30% on the Maxx will last you a long time as well, even with heavy usage. I've tried to kill my battery, and still no luck! :) I used my Maxx one night when it was down to 20% to watch videos, check emails, surf the web, etc, for about one hour non-stop...and the battery did not died, just went to 10%.

Just follow the usual tips: use wi-fi when possible, don't auto-update every single app and widget, etc. But, the Maxx will be able to hadle all of that. I used it heavy yesterday and by 11:30PM, when I went to bed, the battery still had 20%. If it was any of my other phones, it would have been dead by around 4PM.

Use the smart actions too. I use Go Power Master with great sucess.

10hrs and at 30% is still quite impressive. Are you able to type up some of your battery usage stats? You can find those in Settings - Battery.

phone idle 30%
display 28%
android os 12%
broswer 10%
com.motorola.home 3%
android system 3%
wi-fi 3%
com.motorola.service.main 3%
google play store 3%
chomp 2%
cell standby 2%

i don't know, i just feel like i should get more. im not even using it that much. avg txting and little browsing. but i guess the battery will get better as i keep charging it at night with the phone off and never going under 15%.

Phone idle is extremely high comparied to mine. Mine after eleven hrs is 6 percent. I don't know what would cause this.

it's because I had it on sleep when I wasn't using it for a little bit.
how it is now, after a couple hours of usage:
rougly ~

phone idle 12%
display 24%
android os 27%
broswer 2%

I just need to post this. After this post yesterday, I abused my Maxx again. Yesterday, I reported here I was at 60% after 13 hours. Well, I checked emails all night long and reply to several, I surfed multiple website, I watched a full tv episode in netflix, I watched two 10-minute HD videos in YouTube, and when I went to sleep at 11:30PM, the maxx was still at 30%!!!! I woke up this morning ,started with emails, then streamed music through Google Music in 4G for 25 minutes (morning commute) got here to work, and the Maxx is still at 20%!!!! It is showing 1 day and 2 hours (26 hours) on battery!!! This is nothing short of amazing!!! And now, I am going to feed some electricity to my Maxx...

I'm from the LG Esteem part of AF, on stock, our phone gets 6-8 hours.... yep, thats it. When we're rooted and have a nice rom on it, I get 2 days! Not as impressive as your phones, but astounding for ours. I am thinking about switching to VZW, metropcs has waaaay too many dead zones. If I ever do it, I'll either get the Rezound, or Maxx. (My friend has the rezound and it's awesome) So how is service for you guys? 4g speeds? Just curious :D
