Help How do I make Facebook pics the images for my contacts (linking issues)?

I had no issue with this with my original Evo 4G. Once I had contact's linked to their Facebook accounts, their FB image would appear as their contact image. The only exception to this would be if they had a Google image.

I'm having trouble getting the same thing to work on the new 4G LTE. The contacts are definitely linked. However their FB image doesn't appear. Just the default "anonymous grey dude" image.

Any suggestions and how I can get my contacts images to show as their FB profile pic?

I synced up gmail account and my contacts ported over no prob from OG EVO. In order to get my FB pics sync up. I had to open up the FB app in the app drawer. Once I did that got a pop up menu with a check mark box "sync w/google contact only" check it hit okay. All my FB pics sync'd up in my contacts.
Hope that helps. :)

I think my accts got a little screwy from BB rep mess'n with the phone. Cuz, normally they should have sync'd. :p

The problem I'm having is that it only shows the FB photo for a select number of contacts, and there's no rhyme/reason to it. I can't say "It's not showing FB photos for Google contacts" because that's not the case. It's also NOT showing photos for people who are only FB contacts.

I'll try one of the workaround apps but this really shouldn't be an issue after it worked so flawlessly on the original Evo 4G.

This is my problem (not really a problem). Some show, done don't. Some are old profile photos, some have updated.

I have the opposite problem. I don't want the facebook photo used--usually, it's not a picture of the contact and half the time I don't know what the hell it's a picture of. Maybe you can edit it manually the same way I did. Choose the contact and select "edit." Then touch the picture of the contact and see if it lets you choose the facebook photo (mine did).

I just downloaded HaxSync and that worked like a charm. Thanks for the suggestion. One less reason now to look at the S3 when it comes out, but still this should NOT be a problem seeing as how the syncing worked almost perfectly on the original Evo. HTC, or Google (not sure who to blame), has regressed on this feature.
