Verizon letting me out of contract because of GNex issues (sort of)

So I got on the phone with Verizon today and told them how the 4.0.4 update didnt help my phone at all. So the tech went to his supervisor and they gave me the option of getting an early upgrade. So i can use an early upgrade to get any phone other than the sg3 and possibly the razr maxx. What would you do? I could get a new phone, sell it outright, sell my gnex outright as well and use the money towards sg3 or wait on another phone. Or I can keep the gnex sell the phone i get, or vice versa. what would you do?

My thought is, I have both of my lines up for upgrade in 1.5 years. Mighty bee God for me to upgrade now so I have them spaced out.

I would tell them that you want moved to a month to month contract so you can weigh the other carriers/devices in your area. This gives you subsidized pricing for all phones. Then just order the one you want.

Pretty sure they said they wouldn't let me out of contact.

Hmm, rock and a hard place on this one. I would argue with them on this one. If they gave you problematic equipment you should not be forced to downgrade your handset. Perhaps try to see if you can get the S3 by paying some sort of difference in price between subsidized prices of the offered handsets and the new one.

In the end, as always with VZW it comes down to who ends up picking up the other end of the phone. Find the right person and they'll help you out.
