how do I capture a screen shot on my atrix 2

That no longer works unless you have a rooted ATRIX 2. I have yet to find anything that works without a root. Which I havent done cause I don't feel like I need to just to get a screen shot. And I don't know enough about Droid to do it and not risk bricking my phone.

You sure? When I go into settings on mine it says "require root?" and you can either check the box or not. If you check the box then root will be required

Yes there is
if it is an ME865 the key combination is power button and menu button (bottom left)
if it is an MB865 the key combination is power button and volume down button
