Back after using a nexus for 4 months. Missed my 40+ hours battery life with my ext battery. Everyone stil lovin this thing?

Yup! Just came down to sandestin, FL for my yearly family vacation and to my surprised I had 4g inside the resort. Last year nothing but 3g here. Good to know the bolt is staying with the times.

Side note/question. My Dad just recently joined the 4g fam. with a big Motorola razer. What phone can I look forward too to leap frog his tech again haha?

Yeah i am rooted and love being able to tether, but i just preordered the s3 to get one last subsidzed phone with my unlimited data plan. If i dont like it or tethering doesnt work as well etc its good to know i have my trusty tbolt as a backup

Still rockin the Bolt, but I'm getting sick of all it's little problems. Mine still reboots once a day and the battery life seems to be getting worse. All things considered, it's still not a bad phone and I don't think there is anything much better available right now.

But when the galaxy S3 comes out, watch out. It's gonna be leaps and bounds better than anything Verizon has right now.

I still love my bolt....rooted and all. I never downloaded the update that caused the reboots so my phone has been awesome since day one. I'm moving to the S3, but willl keep my bolt as back up.

I've had my TB since release date, the same one. Ext battery + root + AOSP rom = perfect. Never a problem *knocks on wood* I was thinking about upgrading, but now that the "share everything" plan is out, no way. I might eventually buy a Rezound without a contract. But, for now, this TB is perfect.

Still digging mine. Using Go Launcher Ex, with the Rezound batt and otterbox case. Did not think I would use the kickstand, but it comes in handy.

so whats the deal with the rezound battery? it has higher capacity 2750Ahm? is it the same size as the tbolt oem battery?

I think the rezound batt Is like 300 more mhz. Not exactly sure. But a little better battery life, than the tb batt.

I still love my bolt, I only ran it stock for a week or so as it was my first HTC. I was shocked when I found out that they were still running Froyo on the stock bolts way into September. Of course, this is Verizon, the same people who (didn't) bring you 4.0.4 on the GNex in a timely manner, utilized a locked and signed bootloader on the SGS3, and have absolutely sucked at updates since the OG Droid. If they would just release ("leak") the RIL to the public so publicly available ICS ROMs would be available to the root community, it would be even better. They run even better on ICS, at least in my experience, and there are still devs and dev teams who would build ICS ROMs, like Team BAMF, TwistedUmbrella, etc.
Honestly, there hasn't been anything out yet that had enough "wow factor" for me to switch to another handset. Yes, there are obviously better specced handsets, but there isn't anything that my bolt hasn't been able to handle that I threw at it. It plays MC3 and some other "high end" games without a hitch. I was considering an SGS3, but I refuse to buy a phone whose kernel is locked, meaning that you can't flash a custom kernel on it, not just a simple matter of unlocking - you're at the mercy of Verizon for updates, and with their track record, I don't see it (the SGS3) getting JB before the "K" upgrade, and JB does make a very noticeable difference.
I would love for them to prove me wrong.

I went to an iPhone then a RAZR and back to a TB... Really like this device and minimal time customizing with sense... Not sure what to think about ICS possibilities.. Didn't like it on RAZR but that may have been because of Motos very ugly overlay...

Battery was the issue that made me leave along with the fact that there will never be 4g in my area... But with a Rezound extended battery it has done well...

I made a big mistake and switched from my Thunderbolt to a Samsung Galaxy Note.

The Note updated to ICS about two weeks after my purchase at the end of June. I have posted about some issues with my Note in the Note LTE community. I just mentioned a few of issues because I could have written a tome.

If they don't fix the Note issues, the next two years are going to be miserable. I'm even thinking of returning the Note for maybe an HTC One X. I bought it at Costco and Costco has a 90 day return policy, plus re-stocking fee. I won't be able to live with the Note issues for two years.

I wish I stuck with the Thunderbolt and Verizon.
