Root HTC Hero S - Us-Cellular

THANK THE GUYS AT XDA, ANDROID FORUMS, SPX, and if i forgot someone my bad ..

Us-Cellular SPC retrieval:
1. Download install RevSkills. Open it up and click on menu in top left hand corner. Select Hardware Forensics --- > Port Utils --- > QC + AT-cmd. Select your correct com port in the drop down. (make sure you have plugged in phone to usb and selected charge only. Then dial ##3424#. )

2. Go to code tab and select HTC : Unlock SPC. Next select Change SPC. You now have switched to all 000000's.

Root

1. Pop battery out, put back in. Hold volume down + power until bootloader comes on. Select FastBoot. Open up HtcSuperToolV3 run 1, 2, and then 3.

2. You should get a screen flashing stating rooted !!

CWM

1. Put CWM on root of zip. Power off. Pop battery, put back in.

2.Volume down + power till bootloader pops on. Let phone sit for a few seconds

3.HWBoot will scan sd and give you option to install by pressing volume up.

4. do it .

CWM has correct cid text for us cellular hero s

2fastroms said not to post his new CWM without giving credit and not to upload anywhere else but to link to his upload. Dates match his newest time as well. Just wondering what the deal is...

Thanks, I put into looking at what the cwm is, tell just now. Where that clockworkmod I just posted on my forum and sdx. As said in both of those threads which is where you nabbed the clockworkmod it says:
Want to post this elsewhere or doesn't support your phone?
Do not re-upload elsewhere, I pay for hosting for a reason. So if you want to post elsewhere, post the original link as credit.
Then for the download links use mine or just use the link to this thread.
If your phone isn't supported, post or pm me.

All you did is renamed the file for some really unknown reason, as it has the same md5sum as my last posted hero s clockworkmod.

With that said I wanted more testers for the new build, hence the reason posted. Where it has issue not said in the op, where it will cause issues for others. With that said I would kindly like if you removed the link due to issues. Along with the lines of you didn't ask to post elsewhere (Support in mind), You reuploaded it for some unknown reason, then not a mention of who you nabbed it from. Thanks
