Root Attempting to install ROM

I'm coming from a Thunderbolt to the D3 and had previously purchased ROM Manager. I have root on the D3 and Safestrap installed.

When I boot into recovery and attempt to install Liberty, I get

Safestrap Recovery 1.08
.zip install is only available while Safe System is enabled.

Attempting to use ROM Manager doesn't do anything. Presumably due to the message above. How do I enable Safe System so I can install a ROM?

Thanks.

Mayhem, it's quite simple. There is a menu in safestrap called the safe boot menu. From there, toggle safe system on - this protects your stock /system while you flash roms on another partition, so you can easily go back to stock. Don't use the quick toggle.

After that you will be able to flash custom roms. Some people say that you should reboot the phone first and go back into safestrap but I never do that and I've had no trouble.

Thanks for the reply. I managed to flash Liberty 2.0.

However, it now appears that I'm stuck in a boot loop. All I get is the Liberty boot animation. I let it sit for at least 15 minutes before trying a battery pull. I reboot and get the same.

Edit: Never mind. I had Steel Droid downloaded already and flashed that to a successful boot. Not sure what happened there..

Did you wipe data/factory reset before restarting? Though I should say that i tried liberty myself last week - I could get it to start but the market/play store kept force closing. Not promising.
