Help Change Notification bar color?

Welcome to the forum! :D

I don't know of any way to mod the notification bar, I think that's dictated by the OS and therefore off limits unless you root your phone and find the right resource files to modify. Sadly, I don't know what you'd need to look for.

Are all the custom roms (galaxo, etc) the same? If not, you could probably find out from there which resource files determine the look of the notification bar.

Good luck!

What I know is, the different themes for Galaxhero give different notification bar appearances, so I'm suspecting so.

An easy way to change the "NB" notification bar color, is to use universal androot, root your phone, then DLoad Ninjamorph, open "N morph" then click new project, select system, framework, framework-res.apk, res, drawable, then scroll to statusbar-background.png press and hold to edit color, hit menu button save your changes, backout to "N Morph front screen, tap finish project, select framework-resapk, and your done, but you will need to find clock ect, apks on your own, it shouldn't be to hard, just remember these steps. Also N Morph creates backups of the files before you edit them, just remember to move your backup to a safe place so as not to be overwritten. If you have any probs email me, l_dub_ya@yahoo.com, * I will not be responsible for any damages* I have sucesfully done this on rooted stock Devour, and still loving it.

First of all, welcome to the forums! ;)

You should understand that this is an old thread, many things have changed since then. Also, I have never heard of anyone using Androot to root a Galaxy i7500, so I suggest to use the various guides around specifically for this phone. ;)

Cool and thanks, I suggested androot because it is compatible w/ most devices, I do realise that although its not the correct forum, it is this forum that is linked to google searches on the particular subject, so I figured I should add how "I" personaly rooted, to make sure anybody who quick googled the sub. like I did could get the idea that they need to root, and that things arent always that hard to get done. So in short, Im sorry for the mistake, but im glad to be helping, in any way I can, and will look for ways of rooting galaxy for you, if needed. Thanks

Don't worry about it, I just wanted to make sure you knew. ;)

I personally don't need help by the way. :)
