Help Why did my htc Wildfire lose memory last night?

Looks like the issue was the back up logs. I suppose the more it crashed the more logs were made which swallowed memory causing more logs!!!! Cleared those and gained 32Mb!!!! Hopefully now, clearing this and clearing caches should keep the memory in check rather than it still losing some above what I put there earlier!

Hi Trivvieliz

Everything you need should be in this thread:
http://androidforums.com/htc-wildfire-s/544387-wildfire-s-low-memory-excessive-system-data.html

First I tried the forcing apps to the SD card trick which freed up 2Mb but I still only had a total of about 6Mb free. I then did this in the link above and I gained another 32Mb. I cannot tell you my shock as I am sure I didn't have that free after installing all my apps!!! I have only had an Android phone for 2-3 months, it isn't routed and have never done anything like this and it worked first time so I wholeheartedly recommend doing it.

The weird thing is the phone looks totally unresponsive whilst you do it and its not until you check you see what you gain! Still dont really know what it did, I believe the phone keeps a log of every crash and the more space it takes up the more crashes you get so I assume this just wipes that file clean. I suppose its a handy tool in some ways but just too clever for its own good! Good luck!
