Root [S-OFF] Juopunutbear S-OFF -Beta Release

Make sure you wait until it tells you when to do the trick. If you accidentally do it too soon, it will wipe your sdcard, recovery and system. It's an easy fix, but can lead to a panic and you could lose data.

Make sure you have everything backed up.

Yup I backed up everything. Just waiting till tomorrow till I can get some electrical tape.

Yeah here's the problem we apparently ran out of it and the only tape we have in the house is duct tape. I hear it's not conductive. (See my post) But IDK I still feel iffy about doing this but I feel a bit more safer if I do it with electrical tape.

Do you have a piece of stereo speaker wire? A piece of coax cable? Many options.

Lol sometimes it's the simplest of things we overlook that is the problem, had to rule that out first.

I had to restart the app a couple of times for it to complete the process.

It's OK. After the phone got rid of the old beer, it got bought a six pack, and now I'm S-OFF (and locked...) but I just unlocked it again.

I have to say... I thought this was going to be a pain (the wire trick and all) but once I did it, it worked. Thanks JMZ! (And all who make this thing work!)

Yes..it relocks it after s off....just use the same oroceedure to unlock it again..or don't worry about it..good either way

I was a little scared to try this, but I found an old 2 gb sd card so I didn't mess my 16gb card with my roms and music on it, and tried it. I used some 18g automotive wire and followed the steps. Got S-off the second try. When the wire trick worked for me I pretty much tapped the ground lifted the wire then tapped again. It seemed like the small pause I did the first try was too long. Just Tap Tap and S-OFF. nice.:smokingsomb:

Well that was weirdly easy. I kept getting Secondary backup FAILED! in Windows so I installed Wubi and did it from there. Got it on my first try from Linux.

Frankly I don't even know what I did, when it told me to do the wire trick I just sorta fumbled around with a paperclip for a few seconds and then it told me I was S-OFF.
