Experimental Stock Build .2233 -Latest Bionic Leak discussion

Agreed...they will have the Webdock resolved for the OTA so I wouldn't worry about a launcher by necessity.

Another thing I can't figure out is in the App Drawers. I have a drawer called "Common" I created. I have yet to figure out how to take an App in the "All Apps" drawer and add it to my other folder (Common).

EDIT: I spoke too soon. When you click on the drawer name (top left), a menu appears and you select "add/remove apps" and a checklist of apps appears.

Anyone tried the new Chrome Browser? I was just wondering if it would work? Also wondering if the Market would see your Bionic as having ICS now..

ChromeBrowser

Comments in the Play Store are not the most flattering, but it is a beta. Will try now both on phone only and lapdock.

****Will need some time with it to see if there is much difference between this and the stock browser. Upon immediate first impression - not much difference. Biggest complaint in the Play Store is lack of full screen display, which is not a deal breaker for me. I actually like being able to go into the address bar without having to scroll all of the way up anyway.

I loaded Chrome Beta after reading your post....it seems smooth. Can't try LapDock til tonight. And yes, the Play Store sees my Bionic as ICS I assume since it let me load Chrome Beta.

Okay, so I've downloaded 3 different copies of the file and no matter which I use once the end of the decompressing I get the error in RSDLite:

"Please check input file. Either XML format is wrong or image files associated with it are missing."

I'm not new to flashing, this is just the first issue I've ever had with it..

Any help would be greatly appreciated as there doesnt seem to be any solutions on the net, just the problem, LOL!

Thanks!

what file are you trying to download and use? Are you downloading it from different sites? your are the second person to have this issue and I am wondering if the file is corrupt.

the last user installed moto helper device manager to get his drivers straight and the flash the fxz using the manual method.

I've installed that motorola device manager thing, although I dont see it anywhere, I heard it hangs in the system tray, but I dont see it...

I'm trying to download the zip from google docs someone linked here and I'll see if that one works... If not guess I'm SOL for a bit...

Just want to make sure I'm not the only one experiencing this.

Anyone on the ICS leaks, can you watch videos in the browser?

Here's a trailer for Breaking Bad on IGN.com . I can't get it to play, anyone else can?

New Breaking Bad: Season 5 Trailer - IGN

I've tried stock, Dolphin HD, Chrome, etc. I've installed, uninstalled, reinstalled Flash from the market. I've done factory resets and cache clears on the ICS rom. I've tried modified Flash apk's from XDA that people said would fix some issues. Nothing has helped.

I can watch videos in the YouTube app, I can watch videos using other video player apps, but anything viewed directly on a webpage in the browser either doesn't play or locks up the browser entirely.

I know Flash is no longer going to be supported on mobile devices but they said there would be support through Android version 4.0.x so it should still work.

I almost want to go back to a Gingerbread rom except that the new webtop is so much better.

You can use GO Launcher EX with ICS, but it seems to run much choppier than the launchers that were written specifically for ICS (Apex and Nova). I switched from GO to Nova after trying all three out on the .2233 ICS leak.

The default launcher seems better than before, but it still lacks certain features that I need (such as the ability to increase the number of rows per screen). There's also a bug currently that prevents it from working with Webtop, but I imagine that'll be fixed in the final OTA.

Do you know that you can pin multiple apps to each of the 4 icons on the bottom row?

I've been following along this discussion cause quite honestly I am looking forward to ICS on the phone but I am not confident enough to try the leak. But I do have some questions about things to be prepared for when we do get it, which seems to be soon.

I've noticed some of you talk about Apex Launcher and I've seen that in the Play Market and that it's an ICS only home launcer replacement. I use Go Launcer Ex. Should I uninstall it, and any other apps, before letting my phone update to ICS? Will the stock launcher be something that has a lot of features or will it still be beneficial to get a launcer replacement?

The ICS launcher is great. Not sure why you would need another one. I don't ask a lot, my biggest criteria is to have my main apps available at the bottom of all screens, ICS allows this by allowing you to attach multiple apps to each icon. Push the icon and a little window opens with all the choices.

Loving ICS, not one problem yet, if you exclude my initial install, had to factory reset prior to install.

Or to put it in normal terms, ICS allows you to put folders in the dock. ;-) Nice feature.

Not exactly. Although you can add a folder. When you press the multiple dock icon a small window opens at the bottom of the screen, unlike a folder that opens to look like the app tray (or a folder).

Maybe mini folder?

Also if a folder is pinned to the dock bar and is selected then the next time yo go to the app tray you have to select "all apps" again to the full list. This new way avoids that.
