How many people actually use the kickstand?

I use it a lot when Im eating and watching the news.. Im looking for a really good Desk Clock type app to use w/ the kcikstand for a morning alarm.. Any ideas?

Any particular reason you need an alarm app vs. using the stock alarm built in?

I use the stock, but I have a friend who prefers an app because it raises the volume gently and pays his mp3's.

I use it every day. I set my phone up do my speaker I'd pointed at my head while I sleep. This way I can be certain I'll receive the full volume when my alarm goes off. Plus it's very handy while watching Netflix at work.

Aside from that I generally have it propped up on the kickstand when it's sitting on the table. I'm very paranoid about ruining the camera even thigh I know there's almost no chance of the table top ruining it.

The wow factor from iPhone users is a pretty nice bonus too.

the sense 4 stock alarm gives you the option to choose between alarm sounds, notifications, or music files to use as your alarm. I don't think it fades in though

That's interesting. I guess the gently increasing volume thing must not be a stock android function. It's something I use on my MoPho during the work week M-F and I love it. As someone mentioned, you should be able to use mp3's on the phone as an alarm.

If I run across an alarm app that'll fit what you're looking for, I'll be sure to post it.

I use it more since it will stand both ways now and even at a vertical angle the og evo I used to use it all the time will holding phone sideways and standing it straight up

It does fade in now. Noticed it the first morning after i got the phone.

I love the kickstand! I use it while reading from my kindle app in bed at night, playing games,cooking,listening to music...I use it a ton! I also use it to make my husband (who just had to have an iphone[which I refer to as the baaaphone] ) jealous.

The design on this one is odd. Its REALLY hard to move it open and I have nails to catch the edge. While I appreciate that it is in the middle of the phone the charge port location makes it impossible to charge and use at the same time which was a common thing for me on the original Evo.....

I love the stand and this new one is FAR better than the OG EVO. I was on the fence about this phone before I got it, but so far I am blown away with how great it is.

you can flip the phone over so the long flat side of the kickstand is resting on the table and the charging port is facing up. the angle is a little sharper, but you can still see it.

HTC basically took what Motorola had devised and made it thinner and possibly better. I've loved the spring-loaded kickstand on the Photon for the past year, so I'm sure the HTC one is just as good.

Best way to grasp the EVO in landscape mode - unless you have fingers as long as a primate (EVOlution deniers think otherwise).

Put the kick stand between your index & middle fingers and apply pressure for a Kung-fu Grip. That kick stand is a Biatch to pull out, unlike the original EVO's.

It's not like they invented the concept. Motorola did it last year with the Photon. I've actually loved it. At first, I was skeptical, but after getting used to it, I prefer it to the old kickstand on the original EVO.
