Pebble Blue or Marble White? or..both??

I waited until I saw them in store and I am glad I did. I went with the white because the blue would clash with other colors of cases.

I got 2 free gel cases with my purchase, so because I am a girl with 3 daughters f course I picked hot pink and bright purple, but any other more masculine colors would look just as good with the white 'mat' around the screen like a frame.

PS: the blue is not really blue as much as it is grey/blue

I really thought I wanted a blue as its my favorite color, but after looking at them I did not like the brushed look at all. Ended up going with white

i ordered a white 16gb version... and already planned on wrapping the battery cover in cf... easy to do

I was firmly in the pebble blue camp until I saw them in person at Best Buy. Glad I was able to switch my preorder to white and pick up on the spot. The blue looks very purple-y in person while the white is very clean and elegant. It also shows off the metal bezel much better. Just my $.02 on the subject...

Two upgrades in our family to the siii. We initially both picked blue (we both have Incredibles with the same cases so are used to mixing up phones haha) but I made a last minute switch to the white.

Just saw both in the flesh today at a T-Mo store, I gotta say Pebble blue wins out for me. Even though my favorite color is white the Pebble Blue just looks way better on the actual phone. I was initially nervous because people have been saying it looked dark blue/purple but I think it definitely has more of a gun metal/graphite brushed look to it. Can't wait for mine to arrive through Verizon! The only thing I wish were different is the metallic rim around it, it is kind of purple-ish and I hate that, I wish it were chrome like the white one. In the end the pictures and videos don't do Pebble blue near enough justice, it's awesome!

I, too, think the silver bezel from the white GS3 would look great on the blue GS3. I imagine it isn't easy to replace those parts because it includes the sleep and volume buttons at least.

I bought a Diztronic case for my GS3 and you can clearly tell from the user images on Amazon that the purple border shows through and I'm just that OCD about it

I guess the best option for me would be a case without button cutouts, but I hate those!

, but got this cover just in case

for my pebble blue Galaxy S3 (still to be delivered via Verizon pre-order) until I can find something I like better.

I really like the Diztronic one because it's very minimalist and low profile, if it doesn't end up working out I'll probably go with the Body Glove Tactic whenever it actually starts shipping out, looks really cool:

Just got a cheap cover until the case market shakes out. There are *lots* of great options coming up.

Thanks for the link. Watched Marc's video on it and it looks nice. Transparent back shows off the pebble blue while the black sides cover up IMO the worst looking part of the phone, i.e. the purple-ish chrome trim. And for $6 I can afford to skip a happy meal this week to get a case instead

I just saw a YouTube review where the reviewer stated it was harder to read the screen in direct sunlight with the white SIII due to the white face reflecting more light into your eyes. He didn't have a side by side, but it would be subjective anyway. I can be light sensitive sometimes, glad I'm getting the blue personally.

I walked in to the Sprint store and tried them both while waiting on my turn to buy the phone. The white looked quite cheap to me. The color could work, but that finish wasn't too exciting.

Needless to say, I went with the blue.

Galaxy s3 in white looks like just another white smartphone IMO.

You cant beat the brushed aluminum look of the pebble blue.
Although i will admit the brushed aluminum look of the pebble blue would look fantastic in Gun metal or silver.

Phone manufacturers need to start bringing silver back to life!! Not the plain jane plastic silver but a brushed aluminum look like the pebble blue.

Just got my hands on a white and blue Sprint S3. I love the blue - looks very gunmetal to me. But that too-purple home button just sucks. I can live with it, but I'm not sure what they were thinking (or is it a manufacturing issue they now call a "feature").

I think the reason they ended up being different colors is because the material the bezel is made out of and the material the actual button is made out of are different. And the fact that one sits on top of the other makes us compare them every time we look at them and notice the difference. That's my theory anyway

I think the blog referred to in the first article was a series of daily posts about "My Week with the S3." That's all I could find on coolsmartphone, but you kinda have to dig for it. Do a search for S3 and you should see them listed.
