I also pre-ordered from Radio Shack, but for no other reason than the trade-in policy. I'm getting my Galaxy S3 (AT&T) free ... $199 -$50 promotion = $149. My iPhone 4 16GB is worth $157 in trade ... no problem, I'll settle for an even swap. This will be my fourth transaction with Radio Shack, each time receiving a generous trade-in allowance. I'm expecting a call sometime within the next couple of days ... but the deal is worth a little bit of a delay.
With four providers carrying the phone, it's understandable that supply probably fell a little short of demand. But put it in perspective ... look how long the Apple fanboys are waiting for a new iPhone, and the drama associated with its reveal. And after all that, it won't be any better than the S3. Apple playing catch-up ... Steve Jobs is turning over in his grave.
