Help Home screen lag

Are you guys talking about US or international version? The international version looks very snappy even with Touchwiz UX.

I imagine the US version. Phonedog did a comparison between the US (AT&T) with the 2gb ram & dual core snapdragon vs. the international version with the 1gb & quad core exynos and they said the international version had less issues with this.

actually they said the US version was better for opening apps and that, the international was just a little smoother.

When you set, for example, TW as the default, but select/launch Nova, when you press the home screen it reverts back to TW. Btw, I installed Home Switcher with Froyo. What is its difference with the standard HS?
It's not "Home Switcher with Froyo", it is "Home Switcher for Froyo". Froyo is Android 2.2. You have Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). You should use the regular Home Switcher app.

FYI, here are the Android OS's:
1.5 - Cupcake
1.6 - Donut
2.0/2.1 - Eclair
2.2 - Froyo
2.3 - Gingrbread
3.0 - Honeycomb (tablet only)
4.0 - Ice Cream Sandwich
4.1 - Jelly Bean (just released)

This seems to be an android problem. HTC seems to have this issue with Sense as well. I hate it with a passion. This is one of those things that a common person would think that they wouldve resolved by now. Looks more and more like I will be waiting to see what the iphone5 looks like before I make a decison between Evo LTE, GS3, and Iphone5. No need to rush and upgrade from the Evo if the latest and greatest androids still have the same old issues..smh..:(

ICS brought significant boost in UI speed/smoothness from GB. Also the current top phones are way more powerful than old Evo and upcoming Jelly Bean will bring additional speed bump over ICS. If you don't like TW or Sense, use Nova or Apex. They are very smooth.

You need to take thread like this with big grain of salt and try it out yourself before making judgement. If you are coming from old Evo, I'm pretty sure you will be blown away by screen speed of this phone.
