Ok so my phone is being replaced tomorrow due to the usual problems blah blah, just needed some advice on apps that I already have installed... Obviously a new phone means an empty phone, so i'll have to download all my apps again, but my question is, will I have to start over with the apps, example, if I have a game, and im miles into it, will I have to start again from scratch ? Or once its downloaded to the same googlemail address will they pick up from were they left off ? May sound petty but would just like to know if there is anything I can do to retain the data I already have ? Kind regards, Mike.

Generally no - you will lose game progress.

But.......

If your phone isn't totally bust there are apps in the play store that can back up apps and games data to the sd card. There are specific angry birds ones too. Can't recommend any as i've never used them but they do exist. Have a look through the store.
