I was doing some thinking today and realized something- I haven't spotted a SIM tray/slot on the outer edge of the D Quad yet, in any of the photos I've seen around the place, then I also remembered that in this one close up picture, the back cover does look a little thin/flimsy, more than just a trick of the light and shadows?:

All the other pics suggest a slick, yet ceramic-like back but we all know it's some fangled kind of sexy plastic that wishes it was carbon fibre.

And then there's the camera area, there seems to be a bit of a gap between it and the back casing (it's more obvious on the white model pics), So I wonder indeed if we may be getting the bonus of a removable battery, we have seen that the One X's camera apparatus and back shell are infinitely more bonded together.

I understand the back covers shown so far are a prototype, and solidly attached so as to prevent someone from undoing the back cover and stealing it, but the lack of a sim slot, or 'acknowledgement of a sim slot in the temporary design' to show the phone off as accurately as possible, does make me think the final product stands a good chance of having a removable back cover, and what company would go to the trouble of offering such a cover and then not let you change batteries? (and not isolate people who wished they'd got the XL or SuperXL) And then there's also the same story for microSD cards- no slot, no pretend slot.

The only thing I've spotted that I cannot explain is whatever is going on at the bottom of the phone in this picture:

Here's hoping it's a design 'thingumy' to help us get the back case off, let alone hold it on.
So hopefully in the next 24 hours or so we should get some good news, provided more finalized versions of the D Quad are shown at the CommunicAsia event on right now.

:)
