New update (6omb)

Anyone have any idea what this new update i have just downloaded from HTC is for?

It was around 60MB and took a good 5 mins to install.

Dunno. Just saw mine too. It said "system enhancements and some new features". We'll see what it can do when it's done...

Edit: I hope it's cause it's re-syncing stuff, because it's reaaaally slow after the update. Hopefully that's just a phase.
Over at XDA one of the posters said that this was an update to fix major bugs...

No noticable changes following this particular update, maybe a little faster/smoother but that's about it ....

The "Android is upgrading your apps" when re-booting appears to have gone now. That should speed up re-starting by about 5 minutes!

I have noticed:

the volume bar on screen is no longer free to slide, it now slides in a step-like motion.

I think the touch response has been improved by a few milliseconds.

Screen wake time has also been improved at the HTC lock screen, sometimes I would have to wait 2-3 seconds for the screen to wake after hitting the power button.

Will keep you informed of new discoveries.

I grabbed the update too today. I've noticed:

Screen now comes on first time when pressing power button from sleep - used to have to wait or repeatedly press
Autocorrect keyboard now works (again) on Twitter - never worked with first ICS update
No "Android is upgrading..." when rebooting, reboot is now MUCH faster
Bluetooth streaming seems to be slightly better quality, really lacks bitrate most of the time
Spelling corrections - "develop option" now corrected to "developer options"

All in all, a pretty good update.

I updated on Saturday morning, and the update has fixed the email issue where the Update Schedule would change to 15 minutes rather than push mail. That has been my one major issue since updating to ICS. Glad it is now rectified.

My phone now seems to recognise when I have headphones plugged in, which it didn't always do before this update.

This update did fix quite a few issues as described but my touch screen has been very laggy since. Sometimes you have to press icon more than once as there was no reponse the first time....anyone else having this?
