Ordered some screen protectors called Ringbo (ugly name IMO) today from Amazon, never used or heard of them before...should get here the same day I get my SGS3.

Amazon.com: [Ultimate Clear Plus] Samsung Galaxy S3 Rearth Ringbo Screen Protector for [Sprint At&t T-Mobile Verizon US Cellular Unlocked i9300 3G GSM] Cover Film: Cell Phones & Accessories

I ordered (and received) the same ones. I've been a Steinheil fan but i decided to give these a try. Hopefully they work out fine.

did you use any type of solution/water on your fingers when you applied the film?

Or did you just peeled it off and applied it on dry?

No water solution is required for this protector but I was paranoid about finger prints so I wet my finger tips when laying down the film and that provide just enough lube to lay it down smoothly. I didn't have to readjust at all since I spotted where exactly the film will be placed before removing the film.

The product description does mention the rather strong adhesive edges to prevent the edge from lifting over time.

On the issue of resistance wipe down the film with a safe gently glass cleaner I use my eye glass cleaner solution and apply it on a microfiber cloth and then wipe down the protector. It became noticeable smoother after I did that and I would attribute that to left over adhesive residue from the film protector film after you peel off the "front" side screen sticker.

no, I hate wet solution films. actually, I wash my hands very well to make sure I dont leave any oily fingerprints. I think my hands were dry and after a few wipe downs with a damp microfiber cloth, it's smooth like the other steinheils.

So I'm not sure if I want the full coverage Steinheil Flex screen protector or the Ultra Nano which is cut down.

From experience or what people have read, which one is having more of the problems adhering because of the curved glass of the S3? And how much is the Nano cut down...would a lip of a phone cover just protect that area anyway? On the flip side, maybe the lip of a cover would just push up the screen protector's edges and work against me? Ah so confused.

wondering about the cut down sheets as well. I'm hoping the front lip of the Seidio surface case will help in this regard.

Also worth noting, the Nano is seriously thin. Not just alittle thinner, ALOT thinner. It doesnt appear it will have nearly as much 'edge' to catch as other sheets. also, unlike other thicker sheets, you dont really see the outline of the Nanos. the edge doesnt really catch light to make it more visible. I'm thinking for sheets that are cut down in size, ultra thin will be the way to go for this application.

This does not make me happy, especially since it is designed to be a user install item.

I just purchased this based on all the raves about this company. They only make this and the flex, aka wet apply type, right?

Didn't mean to imply it wasn't a great product. Actually, bad film with poor cuts can be much worse to lay down.

Dont mean to discourage you, it's not that hard to get it perfect. I lifted the corners a few times to get out some dust/bubbles. It didnt deform, stretch or crease, so its truly good material. Just be mindful that its super thin and handle it accordingly, you'll have no issues.

Thanks for the encouragement. I've been applying the wet types for years with no problems. The few times I've tried these dry ones I have had a speck or two of dust that left a bump under the screen. My plan is to cover it immediately upon receipt of my phone.

Seems quite a few of us bought these, I ordered late last night and they shipped yesterday. Post how the install goes. I've never used a screen protector before.

you shouldnt have any dust or bubbles with these because you can take some scotch tape and lift a corner, then use their supplied adhesive dust removal strips to fish anything out. I used to use the scotch tape for this too and while it works well, the strips they supply work better as they are just sticky enough to get the job done, whereas tape can be alittle too sticky or leave residue. The dust will always stick to the film, so left up a corner and slip a strip in to that spot, when you pull the strip back out, the dust will almost always stick to the strip instead of the film. You should end up with a perfect install. And like I was saying, this film is very tolerant to being lifted without stretching or creasing.

Not as exciting as cases or covers, I suppose, but one thing I value on my phone is a good screen protector. I previously used a powersupport one for my ipad and a Seidio one for my Thunderbolt, and both have served me well. What ones are you using/ordering for the Galaxy S3 and what is your review on it? How much did you/ will you spend on one? What brands have you used in the past?

Ive always spent too much on one, but I hate bubbling! Dont know if I would be able to get away with a cheaper one..

Power Support has a sister company that uses the same materials to make screen protectors for Android devices: TruProtection Home Tr

I have mine but no phone to put it on just yet. I've never had to replace a Power Support screen protector. They go on right the first time and hold up to anything. With other protectors (Realook and Steinheil) I have to replace them at least annually due to scratches and bubbles.

I just bought the Cosmos 4-pack of anti- glare screen protectors from Amazon for $5.79. It totally works as advertised, and cuts down on the glare, but it also makes the screen appear more dull. The colors are muted and not as vibrant.

I'm probably going to replace it with one of the "crystal clear" screen protectors instead, to better show off the gorgeous screen-- which is one of the main reasons we got the S III, right?

After two years with no drops, my Incredible fell off my lap over the weekend as I got out of my car. It fell face down in a parking lot onto two inch sized jagged gravel. Luckily only my screen protector was scratched.

I just ordered the Rearth protectors. 4 1/2 stars from 21 reviewers. Seemed like the way to go.

I ordered these also, while I unfortunately have not received my S3 yet to put them on, one thing I can say about these is the seller on amazon gets them out super quick. I ordered them with regular standard shipping and they were on my doorstep in 2 days

How far did they travel from origin to destination? Mine shipped Tuesday USPS first class and I really hope they come when my phone does tomorrow.

Noticed it from other forum, and it's super cool and people no longer need to worry about how screen protector doesn't cover the entire screen. It looks like the first dry screen protector that covers the entire screen. Samsung Galaxy S3 Screen Protector Steinheil Curved Crystal - GALAXY S3 - Samsung - Cell Phones

I just saw that a few minutes ago! I groaned because I *just* ordered the nano protectors after going back and forth for a week and this comes out. Guess I'll wait for reviews and then decide if I want to pull the trigger in a few months.
