Well folks, it's been real, it's been fun. But I'm afraid I have to leave you guys who yet await your beloved SGS3. Because:

Well I ordered mine online on 6/16 and it showed a 7/10 ship by date, I just checked the VZW order status for the 1,000th time today and it shows to FedEx with a 7/6 ship date!!!! :) So it looks like Monday is the big day to get my hands on it finally..

If you haven't got a status yet, I feel your pain...it was hell waiting

In case you wondered which one I ordered...32Gig pebble blue.

You're right and the dbm difference is miniscule, I am in a fringe signal area, but the phone works and I'm not complaining, so please don't take my sujective 2 hour findings as any indication of signal issues, it seems better than the g nexuses of the people I know those really DO seem to have poor reception, not saying that of the GS3 at all :D

Well I did post yesterday that that my reception was GOOD!!!! It's just that for some reason people don't read previous posts anymore, they just want to get on here and be negative.

Reception doesn't SUCK but it isn't good. It's worse than my Droid X that's for sure. I can't complain though, the positives of the phone outweigh the reception "issue". It's a pretty big jump going from a DX to a S3 and I'm happy.

VZW customer rep just told me they no longer ship overnight unless specifically asked for. Their default shipping time is now 2 day due to a new contract with FedEx. FedEx wont expedite the shipment without a call from verizon and the rep said they can not change the shipping info after it has been mailed out.

Anyone recall being able to choose your shipping time. Mine didn't give me an option and defaulted to 2 day

Got a tracking number from the Order Status website, but no official shipping notice from Verizon yet. No biggie, went to FedEx website and found my phone, asked for emails of shipping details and when delivered. I really don't trust my shipping and receiving folks. At all.

Should be here Monday before 3, will watch it's progress this weekend (yeah, sad, nothing better to do).

If your phone is at Newark NJ it's being held in pergatory. Was on the phone with a CSR who put a hold on the phone for Newark. Stopped by an hour ago and spoke to the nice lady behind the counter who stated that the phone is still in the distribution hub and won't be unloaded until the weekend and that they don't deliver out of that site. It's going to the delivery site and few miles away. Had her put a hold on it there because i'm not home during the day so guess i'm picking it up after work on monday. PS she also said Verizon shipped it 3 day ground even though my confirmation said 2 day. Way to go Verizon Sorry for the bad news and I didn't get mugged or car jacked. though we know how to handle this in Jersey.

Thanks for that info. I wasn't given the choice. I just assumed it was always 2nd day, I didn't even know they shipped overnight. Shame since I would've had the phone already instead of Monday by 7:00pm. 6/6 preorder and people who ordered days/weeks after me are getting their phones already. Bummer

But did everyone who got overnight, specifically request it. That's what I'd still like to know

Got my shipping notification this morning. I pre-ordered on 6/20. According to FedEx it's scheduled to arrive 6/10 (shipped out of Memphis to Detroit area). I haven't been following this thread that closely so I'm not sure if others who pre-order around the same time have received ship notifications yet. If not it may be due to the fact that I'm on a business account, although that may make no difference what so ever.

Keep the faith...my phone was processed through Newark yesterday and arrived today at 1:30pm.

Ditto this. It seems strange that the cheapest method has Saturday delivery but Standard Overnight, which is much more expensive, doesn't have it. I've received a few Saturday deliveries via "FedEx Home Delivery", including one this last week.

If they delivered Overnight on Saturdays my daughter would be getting her SGS3 tomorrow instead of on Monday. It looks like my SGS3 won't ship until Monday so I'll get it Tuesday...Unless they ship it out tomorrow, in which case I'd get it on Monday too...A man can dream can't he?

Per the Fed X website...

"Hold at FedEx Location

Not all shipments are eligible for this option.
Only the shipper, recipient or payor of the shipping transaction may make a Hold at FedEx Location request.
FedEx does not guarantee that the request can be fulfilled.
If your shipment is eligible, FedEx Express will attempt to have your shipment available for pickup by the next business day after the estimated delivery date.
Government issued photo I.D. is required for shipment pickup.
Ability to request a Hold at FedEx Location via fedex.com is available for U.S. destined shipments only."

I'm not sure how this works with your (and others) claim that Fed X won't hold without at least one delivery attempt but I gotta say it looks to me like they will hold without a delivery attempt.

Nope, you're wrong on both counts. My daughter ordered hers on the 14th and it shipped today, arriving on Monday...To California. I ordered the 17th and it shows "Sent for processing" which means it should either ship today or Monday.
