[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

You must use 07/04 gapps proper with v2.4 as stated by jakeday and it's in the OP. I clean flashed both last night and everything EXCEPT for maps is installed. That is on purpose. You'll need to go to play store and download maps, easy enough.

Are you doing this from a clean wipe or dirty? If you're using RM (Rom manager) to do all of this (and I think you are), I strongly recommend not using it and boot into your recovery manually and do your wiping manually and then flash manually.

I did a manual dirty flash. Wipe cache and dalvik cache and then flashed 2.4. I had no contacts and no gapps after flashing 07-04-2012 proper gapps. I am downloading them again from another source. Don't see an md5 on gapps to check...so just downloading again.

Okay sounds good. Let us know how that goes. And take your time setting it all up :)

Looks as if i'm having deep sleep issues too. I tested twice, my first 10 minutes deep sleep was at 40% my 2nd 10 minutes after I closed out some programs was at 29%
Yup you is! Have you done the gps lock tip listed in the OP?

Dnld this and install. Turn on your gps. Open app. Click settings bottom right corner. Click tools. Click Manage A-GPS state. Click reset. Click settings bottom right corner. Click tools. Click Manage A-GPS state. Click download. Let it lock on you'll see the green bars (get a good clear view of the sky go outside if you have to). Back out of the app and turn gps off. Reset timers in cpuspy and test again

OR: just get a lock with your maps app and back out of it with the back button, reset timer in cpuspy, back out to your homescreen and test again.

Done, done, and done, see you in 10 minutes

I'm not a fan of automated programs/zips doing my wiping for me, rather am an android purists of sorts :p? And I've never used RM to do anything for me other than update my recovery. Never will ;)

Which recovery do you use? I'm not familiar with superwipe, but yes you are correct it didn't do a "data" wipe if all your stuff is still intact.

I'd advise you to do a clean wipe in CWM (or twrp your choice) which consists of wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik. Format system (mounts and storage) if you'd like as well, but the ROM script does that for you. It doesn't hurt to do it manually though. Then flash ROM and immediately after flash gapps

Make sure you have the 2.4 zip and 07/04 gapps proper on your sdcard before you do this!

I decided to redo it and try TWRP this time and forget about the superwipe, and it did clean wipe this time. Still having issues with built in tether. It broadcasts the AP fine and I can connect to it, but I get no internet connection. I have seen plenty reports that it works, but also have seen others with my issue. Just havent seen anything to fix it.

I'm assuming your talking about me when you posted your little rant. If you indeed were I have a few choice words for you. I never complained about the progress being made my only QUESTIONS have been about the audio. So before you make some big post read over others. My questions (not complaints) have been about the audio because since 2.0 Jake Day has said the audio was fixed for Volume+, Beats, and DSPmanager and it wasn't. I wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong. So again, read over other post before you jump to the wrong conclusion.

To be honest, it was never just one person and I am not trying to start something. In fact, I came off a bit more stern than intended. I am sorry if you feel like I singled you out in any way. I was really talking about people getting just plain grumpy about their setup not working. Not people truly trying to figure out issues and asking questions.

With your specific points about the audio, for you to say that he hasn't fixed something is a little subjective because your setup is different than jbdan's whose setup is different than mine. That's the double-edged sword that is Android.

hmm. Working here just tested with the wife to make sure. Do you have a good cell 3G/4G signal?

I'm on 2.4 and flashed in the same order but not getting deep sleep.
Did you get this fixed?

where can I find superwipe for verizon galaxy nexus?
I did a quick Google search and it came up with this in 0.9217748 seconds :D

Got it. When I went to download Maps from Play Store it then signed me into my Google account and everything started working. I had no other indication it was not signed in and didn't think about that...I'm not blonde...but sure feel like it :D

LOL We're all blonde (no offense sweet blond women <3) at some point throughout our lives!

Happy to hear you're happy.

I have 4 bars worth of 3g signal here at work (No 4g in my area yet). Your 3g/4g comment got me thinking though and I set my network to 3g/cdma only and guess what.....TETHER NOW WORKS!!!

Update: Even after changing my network back to cdma/lte, it was still working. So maybe just have to force network the first time.

Makes me happier than a pig in mud when these problems work themselves out :p

Once ROM and gapps are flashed, can I go back later and flash mods, or do I start fresh?

Getting ready to flash my first ROM, getting nervous!

Sure you can and good luck welcome to rooting and roming! Be sure you take the time to really read and research on rooting and flashing so you have a better idea of what you're doing. It'll save you some frustration. :)
