[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

I am pleased to report that DSP and Volume+ work. Well, at least they don't force close anymore...

But for the life of me, I can't tell a bit of difference in my BT headset.

EDIT: I guess I notice a LITTLE difference... I turned the EQ up too high and got overdrive distortion in my headset. Had to turn it down.

THIS is what had everyone up in arms??? Whatever... :)

Really impressed with JB's speed in apps and stuff. Had a little time to play with it today. Another thing I noticed is my 3G (we don't have 4G here yet) is faster. I'm talking about in an area where I usually click on a web page and sit and wait and wait for it to load because it's a weak signal area. I mean web pages were loading instantly. Loving JB.

I second the Thank you to jbdan, without his help I would still be stock. Very happy to say I am running 2.4 with no issues! I'm seriously considering selling my GS3, and it hasn't even shipped to me yet :)

Thanks, jbdan!

Thanks John I'm just the messenger and love to help. I know many could just go to the other forums where all this software originates from and I do encourage y'all to go and thank them, but AF is a better fit for me and feels more like home to me. Appreciate it and was good chatting with ya :)

There is a lot of information on the other forums, but I much prefer the friendly atmospheres here on AF. I really appreciate the work you do Dan consolidating everything for everyone.

Evening my fellow androids! I hope everyone had a rocking july 4th weekend.
So I now have yet another issue with JB, I can't seem to get GPS to work or lock on to me. Today I had to drive home from vacation, I waited till I got to a local gas station to get some coffee, and when I was prepping to leave, I input my home address and It could not lock on to me, I waited 10 min, I had full 3g bars of service and nothing, so I sat in my car for 10-15 or so minutes restoring to stock just to use the maps... I'm sure it was quite strange for some people XD

I've dirty flashed the updates starting at 1.9, luckily skipped the ones with the GPS issues. Any tips guys?

Hope you get this figured out soon....check the OP for the battery drain issues...there is a GPS fix in there too, listed as the 2nd option: Download Faster GPS by pSoftware from the Play Store...

Good luck!!
BTW...loving 2.4!! As always....works great with a dirty flash for me!

Should one wipe, or clean anything before flashing a mod zip?

I'm sure most of you have seen it, but what the heck.

Hi John,

All you need to do when flashing a mod like this is to wipe Dalvik cache AFTER flashing and before you reboot. I wouldn't flash more than one or two in a Recovery session, either :)

EDIT: Skiflyer, that's all I had to download (that I notice missing): Maps & Currents :)

EDIT EDIT: Mirrors, mirrors! Get 'em while the gettin's good!

Just tested wifi tether. Works GREAT!

Read somewhere in Rootzwiki that it's not traceable through VZW. Did anyone else here read that, or was I imagining things? That would be awfully handy - I tether VERY infrequently because I don't want to get busted...

EDIT: Never mind, found it in Post 3. "The built-in hotspot works correctly and does not get reported."

Thank you, I flashed the theme, but didn't wipe before reboot. It seems to be fine. For the future, I should wipe dalvik after fflashing any mod, before reboot?

The Dev, Jake Day, for some reason advised in Rootz to wipe Dalvik AFTER flashing. I don't know if he meant before and typed it wrong, or if there's a legitimate reason behind it.

But the dev says, the Chief does.

And I've had zero issues.

EDIT: You ONLY need to wipe Dalvik when flashing mods. Nothing else (unless you just want to clear cache while you're there :) ).

EDIT EDIT: Stand by for 2.5, flashaholics!
I have NO idea what on earth he's doing to make 2.4 any better, I guess we'll see!

EDIT3: NVM... from the dev:

"2.5 will have the following:

volume tweak (in call and - maybe - notifications, not tied to dsp manager stuff)
gps tweak (just to gps.conf, should allow quicker locks for those having slow initial locks)
location services working properly (required for google now services that run and way have caused wake locks)

This is all I've done so far, and I have a few things more planned. Since these are kinda minor, I won't be releasing 2.5 tonight."

My goodness Chief. For someone who resisted rooting his Nexus for so long you certainly have gone all in. :)
