Verizon Pre-order, Release date, and speculation thread

Good news/Bad news.

Bad news - it seem I'll be late to the party. Though I ordered on 6/12, it's not being delivered until Wednesday 7/11

Good News - At least I didn't order from Best Buy, or now I'd be posting on the official "I got *bleeped* by Best Buy thread.

Which raises the question, who are the Best Buy loyalists? I know about their extended return period, some supposed superior insurance package, and that some people have gift cards. But I can't see getting something as involved and expensive as a phone (though it should be a simple thing) from anyone other than Verizon directly.

Yeah, Verizon made a mess of this, but can you imagine having to deal with Verizon and Best buy?

Finally got my phone. My invoice shows it was supposed to be shipped overnight by 3pm but shipped 2day by 7 pm. A little disappointed since I should have gotten it Friday. But phones amazing. Installed skinpea protector and it's amazing

well its been fun guys and gals but i gotta move on to rooting my S3/getting rid of stupid wifi reminder and setting up all the apps, speaking of apps , not too much bloat maybe 4 verizon apps all together(all disabled already ) the activation took like 5 mins but it was pretty flawless after that, the screen on this phone is beast and my Droid X cant compare.

quick, semi-related question.

My S3 is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. I listed my old Incredible on craigslist today thinking I'll probably hear back from people later this week and have been bombarded with people wanting to take a look already. Can I sell it before I activate the S3 tomorrow? Or does the S3 need to be activated first? Does the Incredible then become "unlocked"? Can you fill me in on any important steps I should know regarding resale? Appreciate the help!

Long press and drag to bottom right to trash can. it will say delete can't miss it.

Any GNex owners have a comparison to the S3?
I talked to a CSR this afternoon. She said I could refuse the S3 and order the GNex and keep my unlimited. Not sure if I believe that.

I have received my S3 with the understanding that even after the Share Now when I activate my phone I would keep my UNLIMITED DATA. Now they're trying to force me into a Share plan!! I'm sure this has already been discussed, but I don't have the time to search. Anybody else who has encountered this problem, please tell me what number to call or who to speak to get this correct ASAP! Thanks in advance!

Verizon will help eligible customers keep unlimited data if their plan was wrongly changed

Give customer service a call.

for all the talk about how much verizon screwed things up, doesn't sound like anybody who ordered through them is getting screwed. in fact, either early or on time. you can cry about people who preordered after you getting it first, but bottom line is, you can't complain if it gets there by the time they told you.

seems pretty successful to me.
