Root So when's ICS coming?

well after about 2 days of playing with Goldie, I think I'm gonna go back to stock rom GB...
memory freeze, apps take too long to start, and too many memory leaks/loss
noticed that I actually am starting to hate my Note because of the 3 versions of ICS I have used so far...OnlyOne seemed to be the only one that was good enough with a lot less problems compared to Objection and Goldie...
anyways, I'll wait and see with the supposedly official update coming July.16 or so...

I did the same; was a PITA to unroot my phone and get Kies to download.

Took me 6 attempts, but it finally went through.

Does anyone know how to go back to stock gb my backup is currupted and doesent work. Or is their another way to update.

Sorry I'm new to updating Samsung

Do this first;

How to Unroot/Unbrick AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717! [Android 2.3.6] | RootGalaxyNote.com

Now, once this is done you need to put the right Modem Radio on your phone in order for KIES to allow you to upgrade;

[RADIO] [AT&T] Odin Radio tars and how to dump radio - xda-developers

After flashing the radio; Kies will pick up the phone and let you update to UCLF6 which is ICS for AT&T Note.

LAST NOTE: Do not uninstall Kies! The new firmware requires that Kies and the drivers be installed in order to access your phone's internal memory through Windows Explorer (shows up as a device.) If you try to use the drivers from the previous firmwares, it will fail to install and your phone will not connect to the computer. It took me an hour to figure this crap out until I realized that the new Kies (that you have to download in order to upgrade to ICS) has a new set of USB drivers nested inside it.

I'm using OnlyOne HYFR, and it's doing well for me. Do you recommend getting the official ICS? Any benefits with the official ICS over custom ROMs? In other words, is it worth the trouble to get the official ICS if I already have a good ICS ROM?

Haven't had any trouble with Goldie B5, so I see no reason to go to the trouble of putting ATTs official ICS on my Note.
