[SOLVED] I've lost 2 hot buttons on wireless mouse/keyb

Hi all,
I have and ider A10 with GB 2.3.4 " NOT ROOTED" and I bought a nice RF wireless mouse/keyb from here...
Deal Extreme Ritek Rii-mini-i6 wireless 2.4Ghz

Now, all works perfect except 2 main keys..

MENU.. and SETUP.. vital for android operation.. isn't it?

well, i found in some other post that only we can have remapped keyb on rooted devices.. IS NOT MY CASE (yet) but there are good friends of mine working on it

now... in the meantime, who has the tweek/solution to remap those keys in this android box and with wireless mouse/kybrd?

I just got an Android TV - so called R-Box (RK2918 Android 2.3.1)
Was considering the same Rii mini i6 mini keyboard.
Have seen some post people having issue with the touchpad, losing control of the mouse after 10~15 minutes of using the wireless device.
My main problem now is with the stock remote control, i have to sit within 5m from the Android box and have to aim the remote control properly.
Was hoping the Rii mini i6 can works well (both the keyboard and touch pad) also the infra red remote can give me a range further than 5m.

I really appreciate your feedback on this.

Hi:
definitively my Rii mini6 works perfectly.
The only drawback I've found is the button mappings for Android. They (Riitek) has not been able to think in android on developments days..
I encourage them to provide me a software fix and they told me it's gonna be too complicated.. (so, Bull##$$t).

I didnt use the IR back on the RC, but RF works like a charm at 15 mtrs.

Thanks for your feedback walteroa. Now i'm more confident to order the Rii-mini-i6. Since you haven't use the IR buttons on the RC back, would it work if you use two of the buttons to learn the Home and Setup buttons from the TV box RC.

I've been searching for the mini keyboard on ebay, and come across another one, the so called iPazzport, with keyboard n touch pad on one side and IR buttons on the other. There are more buttons than i6, this would be a good alternative if the IR works well and can learn the Home n Setup buttons.
Also it is slightly cheaper.

Finally the Rii-mini-i6 keyboard mouse and remote 3-in-1 arrived. I totally agree with you Walteroa, it works really well. My usage range is > 8 metres. I used the remote to learn the factory remote control for the player, utilising 2 sets of learning, i can learn the Home, Menu, Back, Arrows (directional button) and OK. Very very happy with the Rii-mini-i6.

One downside, you still need an Air Mouse to play fruit ninja on your telly =) Too slow with touchpad mouse =) So are you a gamer or movie viewer? Choose your mouse wisely

could u write a simple step by step guide?
(i've lost my original manual...)

I have a different solution
This app (button savior root) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smart.swkey&feature=search_result
will activate buttons on the screen by swiping your mouse (or air mouse)
the important buttons such as home,menu,back,vol+,vol-, off are there on the screen and you can use them instead the broken ones on your remote
Just a thought
Since I've installed this app I no longer use any of my remotes (fv-1 or R-Box)
