jellybean being pushed to gsm nexus starting now (link)

Is Google Now a new icon in the apps? What does it look like?

I got Google Currents and my voice recog function is totally gone. No sign of Google Now.

Also if you answer me please tell me who your provider is.

To get to Google Now, push the home button and lift straight up about 3/4 of an inch to the circular "Google" button that will appear. There is no icon for Google Now.

And though it doesn't matter, I am on T-Mobile.

So no Google Now and no voice recog - called TMobile and no help. Called Samsung tech support and the technician has no idea what Jelly Bean is.

I've fallen down the rabbit hole.

Try this, go to settings -> Language and Input -> Voice Search -> Download offline speech recognition.

Also to launch Google Now, all you have to do is hold down the onscreen home button and drag upwards to launch it.

Also check the version of Android your phone is running, perhaps you are still on 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and the Jelly Bean update failed?

Many people are saying to get the update I have to clear "Google Services Framework" data under Apps. I already cleared it on my Galaxy Nexus. Still it says my system is up to date. What's going on? BTW, Anyone know what happens when I clear "Google Services Framework" data?
Worked for me. You just clear GSF history. It will rebuild.

There's no possibility of the -> Voice Search step - I go to Language and Input and no dice.

Holding down the home button (the one at the bottom of the home screen right?) doesn't pop anything up. :/

Samsung tech is suggesting software reset.

And I would agree that JB failed except *some* stuff has changed - the launch screen, for example.

Here folks, the GSF - clear data - check again approach finally worked for me. Persevere.

FYI, it's a 2 month old Takju straight from Google store... but with Jelly Bean :D

Anyone in the UK had theirs yet?

Yes, last night. I was rooted and had custom recovery and tried some of the unofficial early JB's but there seemed to be some issues so I decided to go and completely wipe, and I mean wipe, everything of the phone, then Installed the ICS 4.0.4 factory image. After it rebooted and I signed into my Google account I had the update notfication about 5 mins later. It rebooted and everything went perfect with the installation. Back to rooted and custom recovery with stock JB 4.1.1 (official Google OTA). :p

Nope - tried both. The one that looks like a house, right? No dice.

My Google-employed husband is trying to help, but I seriously somehow didn't get Google Now, and it's screwed up all my apps that used to have a voice recog feature.
