I'm surprised there is not more activity here. Got mine this week and love it to death! I do have a few questions...

1. Is there a reasonably priced case that will stand up the tablet in both vertical (and more importantly horizontal) positions? **EDIT** Just wanted to add I don't have the dock/keyboard, I'm more interested in this as a tablet. I have a laptop, desktop, etc for my normal computing needs. But for media consumption, the tablet is now my go to device).

2. Has anyone found a good way to stream .x264 to the tablet? I have tried several media servers and clients on my tablet, but they all seem to cut out after the first few minutes of a stream (look great until then, but just crash). **Another edit...jeez, I should post more thoughtfully! What I am trying to do is stream x264 and xvid to my tablet from my pc. Just wanted to clarify.

3. What are some great tablet apps? I'm new to the tablet world (though definitely not the Android world).

Look forward to talking to all of the other owners. If you are lurking, sign up and speak up :D.

Here is the case I use when I travel with it:
Amazon.com: rooCASE Dual-View Multi Angle (Black) Leather Folio Case Cover for Asus Transformer Pad TF300T 10.1-Inch Tablet: Computers & Accessories

MX Player lets me stream MKVs from my Home Server. Works pretty well.

For tablet apps
Comic Rack - Best Comic Reader
Perfect Viewer - For PDF Mags
MX Player - Video Player
Aldiko Prem - Ebook Reader
Wifi File Explorer - Best way to add files
Pandora/TuneIn Radio - for music on the go
KeePass - For all my passwords (Use dropbox to sync between PCs/Tablet/Phone
Dropbox - still the best Cloud service

I almost got that case but after I read the reviews I opted against it because i need something that will stay put when I'm laying down.
I got this one instead http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007Y7QIDA/ref=gno_cart_title_4 which comes with this pen that has a soft end...i use the pen all the time as a stylus...and i also got this one http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007P61592/ref=gno_cart_title_3 for those days that i can't have a bright pink case :p

I just got my tablet a week ago and still trying to find good apps etc.
I just downloaded the apps i am used to and have/use on my Evo.
I hate the stock browser tho...it crashes constantly or gives me the "not responding wait or close" bs...i need to research on good browsers for the Transformer or i may just try what ever is out there until i find one that works better. Currently i just leave the browser load fully before i attempt to do anything as that's usually when i noticed it'd crash...when i try to do anything prior to it loading fully.

Thanks for the input Jericko. Can I ask what media server you are using on your PC? My x264 files stop after 3-5 minutes (video just ends abruptly). I have tried multiple vidoes, different players, etc. Just need to find that right combination!

For the case, I went with this guy. It has room for the keyboard should I ever buy it. Plus, at $15 if it sucks, I will go for one of the ones you guys suggested.

I usually use Chrome unless I HAVE to view a webpage that needs flash support. Then I use stock. Need to see how the new Firefox is (the recently updated big time).

My home server is just running MS Windows Home Server V1. I have 2 wireless access points in my house, so where ever I am located, I always have 4-5 wireless bars (signal strength).

I just picked up a white 32 GB TF300 a few hours ago. I've been playing a bit with it while it's charging (against recommendations in the manual, but who the hell can keep their hands of a shiny new toy for eight hours? :)), and I already love it. It is admittedly my first tablet though, so I'm probably easy to impress.

I'm looking forward to trying out some Tegra games later. Not that I really expect I'll be using the tablet much for gaming (I have my PC and PS3 for that at home, and rarely have the time or inclination for it when I'm away), but as a gamer in general I'm still quite interested in seeing what Android can do in the graphics department, and a tiny smartphone screen - and without the added extra effects of Tegra optimization - isn't really the best way to see that.

I tried the pre-installed MyNet app earlier today and every time I tried to play a video through PS3 Media Server - with or without transcoding - I got a "failed to load..." error.
I'm not really expecting to do much streaming to my tablet, I was just checking out my new toy, but I was somewhat puzzled at these streaming errors no matter which file formats I tried (mp4, mkv, mov, I think I tried a wmv file as well).

I've copied some of those same files over to the tablet and they all play perfectly in QuickPic and MX Player.

I'll check out UPnPlay, just in case I want to stream.

Anyone know if MX Player can stream from a media server? I only saw the option to directly input a web/LAN address of a specific file.

Edit: Apparently MX Player can't browse a DLNA server. I found a guide suggesting running UPnPlay (it sees PS Media Server, but can't play video) and with that running as a service in the background, use ES File Explorer (I already had that one installed) to browse the media server.
Scanning the LAN ES File Explorer does find an IP address, but I get a login/password error when I try to access it.

... Nevermind. The Skifta app seems to do it all in a neat and user friendly package.

I'm another 300 newb waiting for the shoe to fall or something. I jumped from an iPad to a Transformer Prime that was riddled with every complaint I read about. Sent it back with a tear or two, really wanted to love it.

Bought the TF300 about 2 weeks after launch and enjoy zero problems and really digging Android's liberty.

Another UPnPlay user here, source is an external HDD plugged into the USB share on a Netgear router.
