I'm thinking about breaking my contract with AT&T and selling my iPhone 4s to get the LG Connect 4G on Metro. I'm paying close to $100 a month for shitty service and can't justify it anymore. I recently got an iPad 3 and jailbroke it so now the iPhone gets no play anymore.
My question is for ATLiens. How does the 4G LTE work on your LG Connect and where do you live? I'm in Gwinnett. Thanks!

AT&T Has a fast service than MetroPCS 4G LTE , I know it is about $100 for "Bad Service" But that service has more coverage and faster than Metro

If you like to customize and change everything and want something with some lag , something that you need to do tons of stuff to , Then that is Android

If you want a device that you can open and just download and use , Without tons of customization with no lag , That is iPhone

I would stay with the iPhone 4S only if , It has a bigger screen and better customization , To do anything with the iDevices , Got to jailbreak it

With android , You can do tons of stuff without even rooting it ,

iOS is closed off / Android is open source (I like both now and then)

Though the plans are different , 450 Minutes , Unlimited Texting , 2 GB of Data (4G or all data depending on phone)
Which is expensive

MetroPCS is $70 for Unlimited 4G

Speed Comparison

MetroPCS - 2-5 MBPs
Sprint - 0.3-2.5 MBPs
AT&T - 2-20 MBPs
Boost and Virgin - 0.5-2.5 (Run on Sprints newer networks)
Verizon - 20-40 MBPs (Major winner , but bad plans , unless you get the SHAREverything Plan)
Cricket - 0.01 - 0.80 MBPs

You might want the Connect

Note- Most LG Connects have overheating
Bad battery life
LG Launcher has tons of lag
You will have to learn a lot about android

The Top Phones I would get-
Samsung Galaxy Nexus
iPhone 4S
HTC Radar
HTC One X
LG Connect 4G (Currently)

That was my list and this was the only No Contract one with a decent price
If I could , I would get a iPhone 4S

So Stay with it , Don't sell it bro!

you dont have to do anything to an android in order to use it. customization just allows you to do more things than if you left it as is.

iphones are quality devices but they are grossly overrated as far as their capability. hell, even the lowly connect isnt drastically far behind an iphone as far as technology is concerned.

while ATT is indeed a lot faster than metro, metro is fast enough for you to stream any video you need to with no problem and its unlimited. no extra charges, no throttling. you'll get faster speeds with ATT even if its not as fast as it should be but depending on your data package you only get so much per month and if you exceed that you'll get charged extra or throttled.

but to your original question i dont know as i dont live in atlanta.

The reason I'm thinking about it is due to my monthly payment. I'm a college student with a kid and need to save as much money as possible. I'm paying $100 a month for the same plan that I could be paying $50 at metro. My iPhone 4s gets shitty battery life too and I can't change the battery like I could on the lg connect. Trust me I've always been an iPhone fan boy and love the speed and reliability of iOS but I could deal with a slightly slower OS for an extra 50 bucks a month...

I live in Gwinnett (Grayson). We have had metro since 2007. It has changed a lot since then. While I have only had the connect for about a month, I absolutely love it!! I have had no problems with speed or lag and stay on the 4G data through most of Gwinnett. My parents have ATT (they Metro is ghetto) and they have had more issues with their service in the past month than I have had with Metro in the past almost 8 years.
As far as Metro plans go, right now (until Septemberish) all plans are $10 off. So you can get unlimited data, calls, texts, etc for $60 not $70.
Hope this helps!!:D

I have the LG connect and I live in dunwoody I usually drive over to gwinnet and lawrenceville 4 days out the week. I usually stream music from my phone on the drive there and while I'm there. If you look at it from download speeds sure metro sucks but I have no "buffer" messages when streaming stuff. I pay 60 a month and it comes with rhapsody which is great. I also bought the 1900 mah battery as a back up. With both batteries I can go 1 day 1/2. I did root and took off the bloat ware and LG launch, I'm using adw launcher, because they do suck up battery. And took off the keyboards that come with it because they also use alot of battery I switched to gingerbread keyboard or thumb keyboard (b/c of touchpad) which have less impact on battery.
