Saw a cool Apple one, so had to change the Icon for Android.

I've been browsing around various sites and have collected loads of wallpapers. You can get to all of them here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/o16qw3brpbgfw9a/0Jvih7Bgok

There are a few odd ones there and a bunch of zipfiles - each zipfile is also extracted to a sub folder so you can see whats included.

The JellyBean wallpapers are there - they and some of the others are not native resolution, but are high res so will easily crop when you set as a wallpaper.

Will be something like 600mb of wallpapers there eventually, dropbox is uploading now.

What am I doing wrong with setting some of these as wallpaper?

What I'm trying to do is navigate to this thread with my phone, then long press on the wallpaper, set as wallpaper.

But nothing changes.

So then I tried emailing one to myself and setting it from there.

Nothing changes.

Thanks for your help.

The way I'd do it:

Long press on the picture, "save image". Now go to the gallery, there should be an album called download, click that, then in there click on the relevant pic and then set was wallpaper from there.

My upload is still going, about an hour left. Should be something like 1400 files in total.

Thanks for that.

I don't think it liked the long attachment name.

Anyway, carry on with the great wall papers!

Thanks all!

It's likely to prevent the 'wallpaper glitch' when using infinite scroll. IIRC, the DX didn't have infinite scroll (meaning you can keep swiping the wallpapers in one direction forever). When you rotate from the far right panel to the far left, it causes a jump in the wallpaper to reflect it and looks odd.

Personally, I would have kept wallpaper scrolling and disabled infinite scroll if I was on the Samsung design team, but eh...I can live with it either way.

the perfect solution is a panoramic view where you could wrap it and it would look normal.

Please do not post homescreen shots in this thread without the wallpaper you used to make it. This thread is for sharing wallpaper images (and please note the dimensions noted in the OP). So if you post a homescreen, other's cant use it for their wallpapers. If you want to post your homescreen, please do so here:

I'm having some issues with custom wallpapers. When I try to set one, it will always prompt me to crop it to 1280x720, however, when I pan from screen to screen, the applied wallpaper will cut off at the edges. Is there a way to allow the application of wider wallpapers outside the pre-installed images?

I assume you're using a different launcher than the stock Touchwiz?

To fix this, download quickpic, it's basically a gallery replacement. Then when you long press and set a wallpaper, you'll choose quickpic wallpaper instead of Gallery.
