I'm trying to give it a fair whirl. I like the stock Swype-like keyboard. I really haven't used it much (15 minute call, about 10 texts and an hour on FB and the web) and my battery was at 35%. I probably need to play with settings. No better than my Dinc at the beginning. I only had it working properly for a few months on my Dinc. The cursor on the keyboard keeps jumping and I have to move it about 5 or 6 letters ahead of where I want to type. I think I'd like it better if I didn't keep having data connectivity issues. Never had that with my Dinc. I have yet to get 4G and I know it's available here because my brother had it on his TB when it first came out and on his current Razr Maxx.

I've found the radios to be better than the Dinc in my area. I'm lucky and have a great 4G footprint in my area. I very rarely see 3G. I see most users search for an easy way to switch down to 3G and only go to 4G when they know they have solid network and plan on moving data. It's so good here that I never bother. Battery is only fair for me. I can make it through my work day but charge it on the way home before I work my second job. I found that I can't stream radio for long without a serious drain. That's not a problem for I almost always BT tunes from my personal library on the SD. I'm still using the stock battery and have not been forced to and extended. I've not experienced the jumping cursor you describe. I don't know what might be causing that.
You might want to try locking into 3G unless you are in the area and need for 4G for better battery conservation.

I went to the Verizon store last night. Figured I'd check out the Inc4G while.I was there. The guy actually told me that it hasn't been released yet, but would be soon. I asked to see it after he helped
with my Rezound. He had to eat crow when he realized it was already on display and for sale. Lol!

He helped me figure out how to get 4G, but I ended up changing it back to only CDMA because I was getting nothing. I was sitting in my car and it would randomly go from 4G to nothing. No data connectivity or call ability. It does that in 3G also. But not as bad. Sigh! He did say I have 14 days to exchange it and said there should be no problem keeping my unlimited data. I have about a week lwdt, so we'll see. The Inc4G was sweet and fit so well in my hand.

So after 11 days with the Rezound and losing data connectivity at least half the time. I finally switched to the Incredible 4G. The size is absolutely perfect! It is just a bit wider and longer than the Dinc and I can't even notice the difference. It felt like home in my hand. I never got used to the wideness of the Rezound. My hands are so small that I can't really hold it in one hand for awhile without my hand cramping up. There are a few things that I like better on the Rezound, especially the stock keyboard in portrait mode, which is way too tiny and I'm trying to get used to the three buttons which are in different order than the original. It's super zippy and smooth. I love it! If the Rezound was smaller, I would've kept it as I loved everything but the size, but I probably would've ended up with a refurb though.

I'm not sure what reason the store rep gave for the return. My receipt says, "Customer didn't understand how t" and I have no idea what the rest said. How to work the device? How to turn it on? How to embrace the Android awesomeness? I said that I was exchanging it due to a warranty issue and since I would have to return it for a new one anyways, I decided to do a device exchange. He remembered me from when I came in last week to fix it. I did everything tech support said to do, including a factory reset. Losing data while using it as a GPS was the last straw, which is never a good thing while driving.

And I did look at the SG111. Beautiful phone, but way too wide for me! The guy told me he didn't know why I was taking the Inc4G over it. Um, it was all about the size!

Now I just need to wait for Seidio to release their Surface case. I absolutely hate the cheap purple silicone one I got. The color is great, but it's textured on the inside where the back cover is textured. The outside is the smoothest and slipperiest case I've ever seen. Tempted to let it go naked, but I always manage to drop it and am not going to tempt fate quite yet.

Had an awesome time at Comic-Con!!!

I met up with our very own TheGoatLantern there. He totally saved my ass too. Wish we could of hung out more but he was working and I had only one day there.

Comic-con is so much more than comics. It is everything and anything Geek.

I saw the real Chewbacca, Data, geordie, and the shrink lady from ST TNG. Saw dude from Glee and Gene Simmons, I met the hosts of Attack of the Show and got their autographs. There was a live taping of Attack of the Show, you could see me in the crowd for about half the show :) (i totally am never deleting that off my DVR :))

Great deal my friend. Sounds like a blast. We'll be after your autograph now that you are a celebrity.

I've been using my original Dinc on wifi as a music player. I was thinking maybe I should finally root it. There seems to be many options, so please point me to where I should begin. Now that I have a newer phone, I feel semi-confident to root my old one for practice!

Loving my Inc 4G by the way! So glad I switched!

i was a huge fan of the incredibles and even picked up the 4g at full retail. It is a great phone and so compact compared to others. it has one major flaw - shared with the incredible - it has a faint buzzing/ringing when using plugged in head phones when it connects to the internet.

it was annoying with music but aweful with spoken audio - particularly things like audiobooks

so i returned it :-(

Rooting the incredible is really easy. Go to the root sub-forum of the incredible section and start with the 'all things root' sticky. (I may not be remembering the name right.) Read up on it and make sure you follow the directions. If you have problems or questions, that's the best place to ask, though I don't know how active it is anymore.

Good luck!

I'm no source for root info.. sorry. I did want to jump in however and ask you about the Inc 4g. My brother-in-law was asking me about it today. He's still using the Eris but it's finally getting tired. He will likely be deciding between the the Inc and the Rezound. Your thought?

I played with it at the VZW store yesterday.

That thing is TINY!!! lol
If someone was used to a smaller phone then I think the Inc 4G would be great! Hell if it was 4.3" or bigger I would be trying to sell my rezound right now so that I could get it. LOVE the sense 4.0 features

^ another reason why i want the incredible 4g... i love the form factor and sense 4.0... hopefully the rezound will get both ice cream sandwich and sense 4.0 at the same time though

Hey Guys! Back again for a while! :)

Still haven't upgraded. I see BB Talking about the "Nexus". Is the Samsung Galaxy S3 the new version of the Nexus? A clerk at my local Verizon store said it was, but I don't see anyplace that it is called a "Nexus".

Really cool phone though!

I wish but it is all but confirmed to be Sense 3.6 on the Rezound when ICS gets here

Welcome back Musky! How ya been?

No, the new Samsung is just called the Galaxy S3 (or GS3). The Nexus is called the Galaxy Nexus and that is the one that came out in Dec.

GS3 IS bad ass though! My girl got one

Thanks NA!

I read of your vacation woes! Sorry to hear of the Jet ski wreck!
Didn't some kind of insurance come with the rental?

Sounds like you had a great time at ComicCon!

I got screwed on the jet ski. Sucked but in the end it was our fault :(

And comic con was the BOMB! Minus the sleeping on uncomfortable benches at airport for 2 nights, lol.

Was cool to meet up with goat too, wish we could have hung out more. Maybe next year if Delta doesn't shut our airline down. It's not looking good for Comair right now

Which they did. Another nail in the coffin for CVG. Shame because I have a nice easy journey there from the West Side - a few miles through suburbia, catch the ferry across for a nice leisurely trip over the Ohio, and finally a nice country road and climb until we get to the airport. Beats I75 & I275 and the he'll that is called the Brent Spence Bridge any day of the week :)
