Read the fine print and pop ups for each site. Note the B&H rules on this item:

* After what happened with the Prime, I personally want to know I can return an Asus tablet if it doesn't perform as intended....

Amazon update this morning added the Transformer Infinity.

Here' a link to the Champagne 32gb model, but you can find the others on there if you look around.

Also, Office Depot shows them in stock, for what it's worth.

Edit: Office Depot is now OUT of stock.

Office depot does not have champagne in stock.
I don't believe anyone has champagne and will not until at least August.

Gray is sounding possible even in 64GB soon, but it seems they are holding back on the Champagne Gold in 64GB for some reason. Everyone at Best Buy this morning wanted that one with a dock. Some were willing to settle for gray or even 32GB. But there were none to be had of any type. There was not a huge mob, but a few dozen ppl were at the door waiting for them to open. I had to get a few things, so I gave it a shot since my friend there is out of town. Just to see if they were holding back and not allowed to say they had some in back I tried bribery, but it was no good...

Man if I have to wait till August, I will just get something else. I need it for work and it has been a pain using my phone, laptop and netbook on the run since I returned my Prime. Almost grabbed the Acer or Toshiba today when at BB. Can just use it till the Infinity comes out then give it to my friend. Or maybe get a new iPad to mess with it and keep it when Asus finally gets the product on the shelves... :thinking:

* Would be funny if someone else was busy actually getting a better tablet on the shelves rather than playing games. And it stole their thunder completely and even prompted a wave of returns! lol. I'd pay what ever the price would be for a jacked up Alien tablet from Dell (with the lit up icon changing colors on the back). If they put one out anything like the M14X I built, it could run a small town.

I knew what you meant. I was out so I figured I'd check in-store just in case. After striking out locally I too ordered from Office Depot online.

It is so hard to believe the stores sometimes when they tell everyone none are in stock, after you find out that the Prime was indeed at the store in the back. And I am ok with that process as long as I am one of the ppl they let have one early, lol

Last time I settled for the 32GB in gray to get one from the secret stash early, but this time with the Infinity I want the 64GB Champagne. That one really does seem to be in short supply for some reason...

That same thought went through my mind, especially when the people working the sales floor at Best Buy gave me the deer in the headlights look when I asked for the Transformer Pad Infinity. It was pretty clear that they had never heard of it. One kid pointed out the Transformer Prime and asked me if that's what I was looking for. All I could do was patiently shake my head and tell him that I'm looking for the TF700... "Oh, we don't have that yet, and we don't know when we'll get them in."

just ordered a 32gb grey from NewEgg. I also got a t201 dock from best buy for $99. can anyone confirm that this will work on the infinity? I am reading some definitive yes's and some no's, not sure what to believe now.

As best as I understand from all the things I have read so far, that dock will "work" but there actually is a difference between the right one vs the old 201. Not enough are in hand yet to start seeing many actual posts on any troubles using the old dock. One person I asked mentioned a download/firmware update needed, but no link to the specific software. You may get to be one of the first to post good/bad results.
