Help Cloud storage

Which one of these would you recommend?

I'm pretty sure google drive gives the most storage for free (5gbs just for signing up). Dropbox gives 2, but they give you many ways to increase your storage through invites, camera uploads, downloading the mobile app etc. Google drive is probably best if you are just starting out with using the cloud though since they give the most space.

Getting more space with Dropbox really is easy and the method I would suggest for syncing most items.

Wishing Google would've thrown Nexus 7 purchases some extra Drive space.

That would have made way too much sense. You can also check out Box. They run a promotion from time to time for 50GB free for life which is what I have.

Also, all of the Play Books, Magazines and Music is kept 'in the cloud'. I uploaded my music collection to Play Music (formerly Google Music) about a year ago. It's nice to have access to all of it without having it on the device...especially now with the N7 not having a SD card slot.

However for that, you need internet connection, which with a wifi-only tablet could be a problem if you're in the car or something

Yep i have this promotion. The only downside is that the maximum file size you can upload at a time is 200 mb. But hey its free.

Got the free 50gb a few months ago.

Yeah, the 200mb is the only downside.

Another place to get free 50gb, MediaFire. It also has the 200mb upload limit.

I pefer dropbox to Drive, simply because if you store photos there, DB gives you a thumbnail and once you select an image you can swipe to the next one. Drive doesn't offer any of that; I just wish Db had a tablet interface as the phone interface looks rubbish on a larger screen.

I'm tempted to sign up for a few quid a month for 100Gb or DB storage.

If I paid for on, DropBox would be the one. I have 5GB there for free and it is so easy to set up and use. I use Box and Drive mainly for cloud backups but the stuff I need at my fingertips is all on DropBox.
