Shipping date speculation

Things are very interesting for me.

I've been heavily involved with UPS since the 90s as both a shipper and shippee, and they are having some uncharacteristic behavior with my N7 package. UPS MyChoice says it will arrive today (Wed) but the actual tracking page only displays the "shipment not actually with UPS yet" info despite the package presumably being picked up over 24h ago.

Most unusually, the charge for the N7 has disappeared off of my credit card on online banking.

So I might get an N7 today. I might even get it for free if they forget to actually charge my card. Or it might have not actually been shipped yet, and they felt bad about it and removed the charge. Who the F knows.

I got a tracking number for my N7-16! I wept only slightly like a schoolgirl when I read the note.

Not getting too pumped until it's in my grubby hands.

Despite getting the reassuring email with everyone else, I've yet to see any charges or updated info on the order processing page. So, did they just sell a TON of the 16gb's or something? Why did the 8gb's get shipped first? So much about this just doesn't make sense for a company their size to be failing so hard at.

(Ordered mine on July 8th.)

Ordered my Nexus 7 July 9th from B&H Photo in NYC.

Contacted B&H Photo today via live chat, here is the conversation:

Ordered my N7 8gb on 4th but due to some retailers seeming to be getting orders out quicker I preordered 16gb Monday.

Now the retailer has dispatched today with 3-5 day delivery and Google will dispatch 20th according to the email I received with next day delivery so gone from not knowing when I'll receive it to have 2 turning up roughly the same time.

I got the email last night saying end of day on the 19th and one day shipping. It, however, specified standalone devices not ordered with a case, a charger, or a Q. My order is one 8GB and one 16GB, so I am skeptical. :rolleyes:

At least I did hear something.

Yeah i read that you got it for a present for you and the loved one. Felt for ya, Google should actually be tripping over themselves a bit since you got SO much from them.

Hope it all works out and you enjoy what you have.

Mine came yesterday. I couldn't wait until I got home and had my hubby bring it to me at work. Then, we got slammed and I didn't get to play with it. I did turn it on...it came up within seconds and connected to the hospital wifi instantly. It greeted me with a Hello Barbara......and started the set up. I can't tell you if the Transformer movie was on it initially or if it downloaded in the 3 hours until I got off.

I am so feeling for you guys that havent gotten yours. I would be so saddened. ESPECIALLy if I had ordered in June.

One day off, so much I need to get done.....but, I think I'm going to have a play day with my N7.

I just got charged by my credit card so i am guessing that they are shipping the device today. It was about damn time. I hope i have it in my hands by tomorrow. I still have not received any e-mail though.
