Google Play order has updated to today's date & my account has been charged. Time to get excited again.

Finally 6 days after I sent my first cancel order request my nexus 7 order has been cancelled by google. It took 9 emails before somebody replied!

And now I can chill with the one I got from dixons.

So far! :thumbup:

Got mine today. TNT delivered it to my next door neighbour, who I didn't know (living in a shared house in a new neighbourhood). Was able to collect quickly though. I'm off to root it now.

Was told mine would be "shipped next week" which is far to vague for an order they've had over two weeks. On the other hand, Tesco said I can have it tomorrow for

Despite last nights changes to my order, i've still got nothing on google wallet or any shipping email.

I am quite annoyed about it now. People are going in to Tesco, Curry's, PC World etc and buying them, AND Google Play is actually sending out new orders within 3 days, yet still holding the delayed pre-orders. I've got no clear direction from them other than it will be sent "by next week".

Ok - I need my morning coffee. Things will be better after coffee.

I used to sell beer for a brewery. Occasionally we'd provide finance to pubs. My bosses unofficial advice to publicans was always "buy your beer from a brewery but get your money from a bank". This little episode has reminded me that I should probably get my OS/software from Google but actually buy the hardware from a proper retailer!

I won't buy hardware from Play again in a hurry!

Hi, welcome Unforgiven!

I was looking around on the internet and saw that Tesco and PC World are both out of stock.

Despite some disgruntled early adopters (I'm not angry yet but it will be a shame if the N7 didn't come tomorrow as I'll be away for much of next week) the product certainly feels like it has sold incredibly well. This should mean excellent support, both from Google and Devs.

I look forward to receiving it when it's ready.

I called TNT - no package in their system matching my postcode. The charge on my account is only a pending one, so no payment yet.

I found myself driving to the nearest Curry's just now incase they had one in stock, but talked myself out of it en route.

Looks like it will be next week ... :0(

Can't believe you guys are still waiting for deliveries

I've played around with mine quite a bit now and I absolutely love it. Hang on in there, it'll be worth the wait.

And just to reassure you, there are people who aren't having problems with their units. I don't have any screen issues, no raised edges, dead pixels etc and so far (touch wood) no problems at all.
Really hope you get yours soon!

Saffy makes a good point here that I want to expand on. Remember that the folks that post about an issue are normally far outnumbered by folks with no issues. If someone starts a thread about dead pixels on their shiny new toy and mine doesn't have a problem, I normally wouldn't post in the thread (unless I am offering help or encouragement). So what you normally see is a lot of noise from the minority. Much like eager and myself, who are in the minority with regards to actually getting our devices.
