Root [CDMA] Help To Root My Htc Evo 3D

I received ics 4.0.3 official ota recently...
I want to root it...

-hboot 1.53.0007 s-on

!!GSM!!

-software number 328.720.1

How do i root it ?? I am a newbie so i want some clear steps please !

Since you are on a GSM version phone, go to the sticky thread below and follow the process for in the 2nd post for the GSM phone

But many people on xda are experiencing bootloops and other problems and isn't it for hboot 1.4 ?

Read the 2nd post in that thread I mentioned, it is for GSM versions of your phone, I am not familiar with the GSM phone, so before you do anything make sure you ask in the GSM section at XDA , I say DO NOT FLASH a CDMA Rom on a GSM Phone. so do your homework before, HBoot 1.4 is for CDMA phone, not yours. This is the 2nd POST HERE

If you are not on Sprint, simply follow the 2nd post.

Remember I am simply pointing you in a direction, make sure you read before you do anything, and if in doubt keep asking questions first, until you fully understand.

Ok i am going to try...But in the 2nd post i think the gb rom is attached as su patch.....But i have ICS......just tell me

How do i Root My stock ICS rom ?? (i.e., i want to keep the same original rom, just rooted)

As mentioned, I don't have a GSM phone, so all I can do is guide you, I gave you the tools, you have to follow up on those, if the Sticky by Jerofld, is not good enough, then I gave you the link to the GSM thread over at XDA, post in there and see if someone can guide you there. Unfortunately there are not many that have a GSM phone here for some reason, or they don't like to post, so all I can do is guide you, I know your frustrated but you have to be patient until you find what you need, Good Luck hopefully someone here with a GSM phone will help you.

I have a rooted Evo 3d which wont update, is it recommended I unroot then update then re-root?
I have seen forums recommending people wait for a custom ROM to use with rooted phones but havent seen anyone report an update to those discussions.

How did you root? HTC Unlock or another method -
Are you S-off? CDMA or GSM
If you update you will lose root.....
