This is an early, "alpha", developer port of Jelly Bean for the Samsung Galaxy S2, GT-i9100.

The first Jelly Bean ROM is available for you to try. It is an, "alpha", port and not intended for daily use.***

"Important:

Before attempting to flash this ROM, please understand the risks to your device, which include the possibility of causing it to enter a bootloop, causing a soft-brick, or potentially even a hard-brick. Understand that the chances of causing a problem which cannot be fixed is very low, but still a real possibility. If something crazy should go wrong, and you end up with a broken device, do not blame anyone but yourself. Consider yourself warned.

"What works, what doesn't

I know how how you feel Syd. I was on GB with CheckRom v6 for ages before I jumped with Sale's NEAT.

Mind you it is fabulous developers are still supporting the GSII. Even getting JB stuff working on it is testimony to it's vast superiority to anything else around when it was first released. I still recommend it now as a brilliant device that is head and shoulders above almost everything else out there.

You gangsta! Thanks for this; downloaded and installed it. Seems to be working just fine (found all of my music in about 3 seconds + all the art work. It's very fast even scrolling through menus etc!

If this is a sign of things to come then i personally can't wait for 4.1 on the S2.

Cheers dude.

Just a wandering, will jelly bean kernels be at risk of the brick bug? I'm guessing yes as it is similar to ics, but thought id ask as I'm sure it isn't a risk in gingerbread is it?

Thanks in advance :)

The CM one's won't be, but who knows about the Sammy ones. As they are not released yet, there is no way of knowing. Considering LQ5, LPM and LPO all have MMC_CAP_ERASE enabled, then I suppose its a good possibility.

Just flashed CM10 Jelly Bean and things are working pretty well. Lags here and there, but it's essentially like when ICS came out initially. Loving the new notification and Google now.

From what I gather at the already large user feedback thread on xda, the build is pretty solid for a preview. The lag is down to hwcomposer which basically deals with the hardware graphics acceleration. I guess for now the workload is being done by the cpu, thus it slows down a bit.
Pretty amazing first effort though, those guys certainly put samsung to shame.
