The Freebies I got with my Nexus 7 (Books, Music, etc.)

So, we know we get this:
  • $25 Play Store credit
  • Transformers: Dark of the Moon

However, I found out that we, as Nexus 7 owners, get some other stuff. Basically, it looks like a "Starter Pack" for Books, Magazines, and Music.

In another thread, Markg said he didn't get Wallet or Music because he's in the UK, so there are apparently regionally locked media, meaning these items I listed may not be available everywhere. Here's what I got, though:

Books:
  • Nexus 7 Guidebook
  • The Bourne Dominion by Robert Ludlam
  • Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll
  • Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
  • Great Expectations by Charles Dickens

Magazines:
  • Family Circle (July 2012)
  • Esquire (June/July 2012)
  • Food Network Magazine (July/August 2012)
  • Conde Nast Traveler (July 2012)
  • Popular Science (July 2012)

Music (I may have had some of these, but I sorted by last added and I didn't buy these, so...):
  • Why Stop Now (ft. Chris Brown) by Busta Rhymes
  • Primitive Girl by M. Ward
  • Man On Fire by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros
  • Civilian by Wye Oak
  • Romance by Wild Flag
  • Pretty When It's New by Merle Haggard
  • Must B The Music by De La Soul
  • Sister Ray Charles by JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound
  • Odessa by Caribou
  • Paradise by Coldplay (I really hate this song...)
  • Save The Hammer For The man by Tom Morello (Live @ Google)
  • Leonard by Sharon Van Etten
  • Exclusive Ninja Tune Mix by Eskmo (This track is 39:07 in length!)
  • Heart In Your Heartbreak by The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart
  • Verano (ft. Austin Leeds) by Paul Van Dyk
  • California by Delta Spirit
  • Sort Of by Ingrid Michaelson (Live @ Google)
  • Culture of Fear by Thievery Corporation
  • Skin of My Yellow Country Teeth by Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
  • It's Only Rock 'N Roll by The Rolling Stones (LA Forum, Live, 1975)

Again, in Music, I sorted by "Recently Added" and went down to my most recently purchased track, which I got only a week ago.

Also, if you have NOT previously activated the Google Wallet you get the standard $10 credit. If you don't see the Wallet app, you may need to upgrade to 4.1.1. I think I read that the update adds the app (could be wrong, though).

EDIT: I could be wrong on some of these items. I know that Play Music adds freebies from time to time. That could be where some of those come from. Also, I could have had one or two books from my Dell Streak 7, too.

I thought the first transformers was terrible. And I don't like any of the music. Google probably won't be happy with me since I will rarely be buying anything from the play store. Maybe a few books here and there and some productivity apps, but that's all. I didn't buy this tablet strictly for media consumption.

Apart form the Bourne book, the others are free anyway. There are actually quite a few free books, that are great classics on the store.
still waiting for music to come to the UK, but it isn't a loss, I still like physical CDs.
What I would like is the magazine function though, as I would much rather have an electronic copy

If you are looking for more free ebooks, Project Gutenberg - free ebooks is a great collection of works that have entered the public domain

You get this when you register a credit card with Google Wallet. It says it on the original thread.

Also here's the official list from Google of the content that it comes with:
Enjoy content from Google Play - Nexus Help

Feel cheated on this side of the water!
Got the Movie, and no wallet credit. The magazines I can understand but the book would have been nice. The music I don't really care about as I plan on not using this for music at all.

BUMP!!!! This thread ALMOST answered my question, but not really.

What's the real value of ALL the"freebies" combined with the $35 from google from play to wallet? I logged into my drained wallet account from a SGN, and I was surprised to see $10 there :D:D

/me happy new N7 owner since I found one local! Typing on this device is the best on all other devices I've owned from being a sucker with an ipad, to a transformer, to a galaxy tab 2 7.0, yay, lovin' it!
