Can someone clue me in - is there a separate coating on the gorilla glass 2 that would be removed by rubbing alcohol? On past phones, I didn't mind cleaning my protected screens with rubbing alcohol to get rid of some of the nasty bugs I wouldn't want on my face (work in a hospital), but I don't have a screen protector on (yet) so am wondering if it's screen-safe to do so. (My guess is safe answer is no.)

Rubbing alcohol (or similar) to clean screen?

I've used those pre-moistened glasses cleaning sheets on my Droid X, my Asus Transformer TF-101, and my S3 all with no issues. They contain isopropyl alcohol. I honestly don't know if that's the same as rubbing alcohol or not though.

I use No liquid, just a dry micro fiber cloth. Usually a cloth that's used for cleaning sunglasses works best for me.
FYI- what I also do is run a lint roller over the cloth every few days to eliminate any particles that may get trapped in the cloth.

Any glass or lens cleanser should work fine, and I don't image IPA will hurt it either. It does clean easily with just a dry cloth, but it seems you want to do a bit of disinfecting as well? The only thing I would be wary of is anything with acetone in it, that might affect the plastic.

I add 2 drops of water to the micro-fiber cloth to dampen it. Cleans the screen and seems to take off all smudges.
