[Verizon] [ROM] AOKP JB-MR1 Milestone 2 [4.2.2] (07.21.13) TORO

well i learned what happens with this rom
its why i went back to b40 ICS
is that occasionally without warning, without any messages, features in google apps quit working.

i do not understand it
it will just randomly stop, and on top of that my text messages werent coming through, but they were being sent. odd
so after a reboot they work (having to wait 5 minutes)
and i said that was enough and went back to ICS, where i will stay :)

I'm still on the same build as you. One thing that confuses me about these JB previews is the multiple Gapps. I'm trying to follow the thread on rootz but I'm reading some confusing issues with the various Gapp zips being posted. Anyone understand it all better than me?

Colchiro,
If you try aokp build 4 it wont let you down. Xenon is nice but in my opinion this is better.

Flashed, started to set up, backed up and restored XenonHD.

Very similar to XenonHD, except no wake with volume controls. I HATE having to use the power button to wake it. I want to spread my wear over 3 buttons.

I've got my backup and will come back to it later tho. :D

New update to Google play movies as of today...could this be the update that some people are waiting for????? Let us know if it works now!!!

Nope it didn't work...I did get a different message though! Now rather than getting "couldn't fetch license: (error-1)" I get "This video's rental period has expired," which it hasn't, since it was purchased not rented...so I dunno if that's progress lol but not fixed

Hey guys,

I appreciate the help with all of this. I unlocked and rooted my stock Nexus and then flashed this test build 4 rom. Have everything set up the way I want it. Looked good. Installed Titanium Backup and loaded that. I got the prompt to allow root and accidentally hit deny. Now I can't even update the Su binary in super user and whenever I click into Titanium Backup it just says can't get root.

I went into SuperSu and was able to remove the Titanium Backup entry that was there, hoping that would make it reprompt me, but it seems as though root was lost or something since I can't even update the Su Binary anymore, that just fails.

I just tried to reroot using the Root Toolkit and it says that it was successful, but again, still can't update the Su Binary and Titanium backup just says no root given, so I assume that im not really rooted.

Any ideas? It's just weird that it prompted me and just because I hit deny by accident I lose all root...

Thanks

Tried that, but nada. It's as though it doesn't even think I am rooted...Superuser fails to gain root access when I click on Update SU Binary.

Just tried to reroot and that didn't do anything. Hoping to avoid having to unroot and reflash back to stock and do this all over again.

Btw, aokp b4 was missing a few nice ringtones, notifications and alarm tones that were present in jelly belly 3.9.1
For example, the cool one that says nnneeeexxxxuuusss! Hahaha :p

*If you care for them like I do its easy to rip them from one rom to another.

I love that "nexuuussss" tone its actually startled me on a few occasions!

Just went back to stock and re-rooted and tried again. Have test build 4 on here again. Went into super user and updated SU Binary. It prompted me to grant or deny super user...I hit grant and it updated everything as expected. I then went and tried to do it again and it failed in trying to obtain root.

Looking to me like this ROM isn't keeping root or something...not sure...thoughts?
