[Verizon] [ROM] [JB 4.2] XenonHD Stable-11.1 (7/3/13)

This didnt work for me. The reboot took much longer and after the google sceen it just said android and not your avatar symbol

Yes, by default it will say 'android' in boot if you have no animation setup. Re check your System/Media folder for spelling errors. Also it shouldn't affect boot up time.

Let me know how it goes

Should look like this

When i first tried it, i changed the current boot animation to bootanimation.zip.bak and simply placed your file (JB_bootanimation.zip) in the system media audio folder. I am new to this. Should i completely take out the current bootanimation.zip file and then take out the "JB_" from your file?

*correction: i placed it in the system media folder, not system media audio

boot time is fixed but still just says android after google screen (which i like better than the whole team xenon boot up anyway).

Not sure what i am doing wrong.

If you don't want the current boot animation, you can delete it, that's up to you. Doesn't do any harm. I usually keep it since it does not take up much space. If you decide to keep it for whatever reason, do rename it to anything like "bootanimation.zip.bak" or perhaps "originalboot.zip" whatever works for you really.

However, there can only be 1 'bootanimation.zip' in System/Media.

So yes, hold down on the "JB_bootanimation.zip" and when that menu pops up go ahead and rename this to simply "bootanimation.zip"

Still no dice. This may be a stupid question, but do I flash the JB_bootanimation.zip first?

No flashing. Take the JB_bootanimation.zip file and select 'move'.

Then navigate into System, then into Media and select 'paste'.

*do not put it into any of the files inside like audio or video. Just on top in media.

Then hold select JB_bootanimation.zip and rename it to bootanimation.zip exactly like that.

>it would help if you could post a screen shot of your system/media screen, not sure whats going on

Is anyone having bad battery life with this ROM compared to Jelly Belly? Yesterday my first day at work with it I got home and was under 50%. I didn't think to much of it because I was using 4G all day. Today, using only 3G I got home and I'm at 11%. I'm not a heavy user at work, a few txts, maybe a call or two and on my break I check facebook but thats all.

I like the ROM but I'll probably head back to Jelly Belly for a little bit.

I've only been on this flavor for a short time today but batt is no good. Going to try a reflash to see if that helps.

Edit: in the short time it took to write that post i watched the battery mod go.. 53, 52, 51... Not good.
