I got it....didn't delete the 6.17......I put a stock rom on first because I couldn't get s on....and now camera is just a black screen when opened.

I got it....I didnt need to flash radio just the pc36img hboot 6.17 but I forgot to rename it like a rookie....stock rom is on and still a black screen with camera...so to sprint iit goes. Its my kids phone I have the new 4g lte and waiting on deciding if Im gonna root, phone is so good as it is!!!

it was sketchy before.....video would freeze and some pics would be very distorted....when I went stock it stoped working all together

did you wipe everything but the sd card before flashing the stock rom? what recovery do you have?
what rom and kernel were you on before?

yes I did a full wipe and I was running mikg 2.61 with a freedom aggressive kernal at first but then back to stock kernal

ok sounds like you worked the steps correctly.it does sound like a hardware issue then. let us know how the visit with sprint goes.

Have you tried just flashing the S-ON zip in recovery? I don't think you need to flash the radio at all, actually.

That's what I did , just the s on zip.....I thought I had to do the radio since I couldn't get it to work but it was my mistake.....forgot to rename the file

anyone have a stock rom so i can take my phone back im having major connection issue with sending and recieving calls .

I'll have to find one for you but, perhaps it's a tower issue?
Sprint's new policy regarding rooted phones has changed to a more "friendly" attitude towards rooted phones, and personally, I wouldnt switch roms but perhaps a different rom or kernal will help.
What have you tried lately to resolve the issue?
Is it calls only issue or do you have issues with text/downloading/surfing etc.
Sorry so many questions.
Have you tried updating your prl?

So i rooted my phone and i wet to go back to the guide to see about flashing a new splash screen and i get "%1$s" every time i click on the show button. is this a problem with my computer or the links?

In the mean time how do i flash a new splash? I'm sure there is a thread but i can't seem to find it.

Yeah, the "show" button doesn't work, it's not your computer.
There is a thread, I'll find it but I gotta go for now.
Someone will link it I am sure...

You flash a new splash screen like you flash a new kernel.

Have you d/l'd your splash zip?
Rename it PC36IMG if you're on the PC and then place it on the root of your SD-Card. Basically not in any folder.
Reboot to bootloader. Select hboot.
It will search and recognize the PC36IMG. Select yes (Vol up rocker)
Reboot
New Splash!

Alternatively d/l Flash GUI from the Play Store. Its a dollar but it will save you the hassle of doing the bootloader method.
You then just place the img file on your sd card and select it to be flashed by the application

yes ive updated the prl and redownloaded a rom kernal aswell
yes its all those issure get error msgs when i send texts all of the above
even if i get a stock rooted ruu ima see if they can give me another refurb bc i dont have funds for a new phone

Maybe try calling Sprint and they might be able to help you.
Mikg, being a sense rom, will enable you to issue the ## codes that sprint might have you try.

The top level, as in, not in any folder.

When you go in to your file manager at the top where the file path is the root should look something like this:
/sdcard/
No folder or file name after. That is the root
