Help MyTouch 4G - Webpages start loading very slowly

I've had a T-Mobile LG MyTouch Slide for a few months now, running on 2.3.4, and I have no serious issues, but it starts loading web pages very, very slowly. The browser takes between 30 and 90 seconds to start loading a page or link, then everything moves along just fine. Apps that use online data run just fine with no lag time.

What causes the lag time when the web browser launches, and how can I fix it?

This forum is for the HTC MT4G. Have you tried clearing your cache?

Yes, I have, doesn't seem to help any. It just seems odd since it loads pages fine from an app, but the browser just takes forever 45-90 seconds before it will start loading a page after you type it in.

What about firefox for android, would that help?

I don't know how it is on the LG, but the HTC one works fine with the stock browser. When I had a Samsung Behold II I used Opera, so yeah, a different browser may definitely help. Good luck!
