Samsung GalaxyS2 still restarts numerous times throughout the day

I performed a factory reset a couple days ago, hoping it would fix the problem. I even consulted a support working in a live chat on Samsung.com, and they recommended the factory reset. The reset did not fix the problem. My phone still restarts a number of times throughout the day. It even turns off to where the power button doesn't work, and I have to take out the battery and put it back in just to turn the phone on. I'm hoping someone here can help me.

Welcome to Android Forums, Tryndamere :hello: I wish it were under better circumstances for you. I'm going to move this thread into the SG2 forum to get it more attention from other SG2 users.

Reinstalling the rom might be an option, but I'm not sure how to do that on an SG2. Thoughts, guys?

Edit: BTW, I had to guess your carrier. If I guessed wrong let me know and I'll get it put where it belongs.

I assume you're running stock firmware without any modifications? Are you using the original battery? Has this been happening for as long as you have owned the phone?

If so, it sounds like it might be a hardware issue. I think your best course of action would be to go to AT&T and see if they can give you a replacement.

Yes it's the original battery. It's been happening ever since I downloaded the ICS update through Kies (sorry for not mentioning).

I'm having the exact same problem. I'm starting to suspect an app that's incompatible with ICS. I highly doubt it's a hardware problem because it started immediately after the ICS update, just like yours. Do you run any of these apps:

tasker
juice defender
widgetlocker

... I'll add more
