*Rezound ICS OTA is live Thread*

I installed the 7MB update, then downloaded the 299MB one, but after it finished downloading, nothing happened. Pressing the check-for-updates button doesn't do anything now. Anyone see the same issue?

Yes, same here. I then manually rebooted a few times w/no change. Then about 15min later it spontaneously told me big new things were happening. :D

This might be a dumb question......but.....when doing a factory reset it puts the phone back to factory specs...which would be running GB. So if download ICS and then do factory reset won't it have to re-download ICS again after?? As I said that might be a stupid question.....just trying to figure out if I'll have to do a reset after updating once I get my replacement Rezound. My plan is to put it in service and then do the update before I even download any of the apps I had on my old one. Maybe then I won't have to do the reset since I'll be activating it first and then doing the update before putting anything on it.

Is there an update.zip you can download to install this manually? I want to install this on my wife's Rezound, but we live in an "Extended network" (roaming on a regional carrier) where I don't think it will pull the OTA update. I hope this fixes all the lagginess of this phone. Compared to my Gnex, it's extremely laggy everywhere except the stock launcher. It's mostly noticable when using the the browser or scrolling/zooming most apps. I was hoping it was because of Gingerbread or Sense 3.5.

Doing a factory reset will only wipe the data partition (not the SD card) and system settings of the phone. The system files where Android is install will not be touched, so whatever version of Android you were on before you did the reset will still be there afterwords.

@ fyrfyter Is your phone GB or ICS right now? If you install ICS then do a factory reset you will still be on ICS. It will not downgrade the OS

@ philosoraptor there is a link to a torrent with the RUU here: http://androidforums.com/rezound-all-things-root/593887-ota-update.html
There are other places to download as well if you google around

My phone will be whatever they ship them with now. I'm waiting on my "like-new" replacement Rezound to show up since my original on took a sh!t on me 2 days ago. Curious to see what it will be shipped with since it was shipped out yesterday.

Mine took a dive also. I just got the update on my semi-functional phone. I'm hoping I dont have to wait another week for this new phone to update.
