It has been said repeatedly that you will not get the OTA update if you are running a leak, you will need to install the RUU for .12 that released this morning.

EDIT: Hmmm... seems to be some conflicting information on this I guess after I scrolled up and looked, most devs said it would never work, but some people on the leak are saying it is working.

I have the last leak on my phone. I did a factory reset and it is still the last leak. Was trying to get it back to initial operating system to install the OTA update but no luck. Any suggestions?

You will need to use a RUU to get back totally to stock, best bet is to just wait for the OTA to be released as a RUU. Shouldn't be long now

Oh, btw.... All my pictures are gone. Just searched through my sd card and exsd card and there is NOTHING in either of my DCIM folders :mad:

I got ICS this afternoon while on break at work. The update drained the battery so I haven't had a chance to play around with it yet. No problems so far.

Oh no, that sux! I went from stock to the OTA and still have all my photos, downloads, etc.

I know, I'm not even seeing them with astro... dropbox has them all backed up (or else i would cry, lol) but still...

Well I was gonna factory reset anyway I guess.

I haven't restarted since first ICS boot up though, possible that will help.... Been busy at work last couple hours and phone about to die so haven't played much

Got the OTA this afternoon...that went OK, but i am running into some gremlins.

1. Phone won't pair with my car any more.
2. 4G LTE is much more spotty than it was with GB.
3. got a weird "no sim" card error once while rebooting.
4. can't sent fB messages.

might do a complete reset if i can't get it to play nice.

YES! I got the OTA! I now have a working mobile hotspot!

I saw the no sim message once also, it was when i put phone in airplane mode (i figured that was the reason).

But a hard reset is definitely a GREAT idea. I think i will do one as soon as my battery gets charged a bit more

I have the .10 leak, and I doubt I will ever get the OTA pushed to me. After all the crap I gave Verizon about all of their shenanigans, they probably won't want me to have it. But I can always get .12 in zip form if I want.

I also owe them a phone bill so it will have to wait.

Same here, tried moving the date up, the checkin thing, & nothing. When I hit check for update, it say checking for new update for a bit, then goes back to the previous screen, no your software is up to date message, but no update either. With my luck I'll be the last to get it as usual. :mad:

Okay, I don't know what I did, and I don't know if I'm even right in what I'm concluding, but I think I just went back to GB after installing the ICS leak, and I never was S-OFF. I rebooted the phone and it was showing GB, and I checked the update and just got the 7mb file. I thought it wasn't possible to go back to GB after installing the ICS leak if you weren't S-OFF? What am I missing here?

When the small update was done downloading and it rebooted it went to the phone icon with the red triangle and exclaimation point. had to battery pull after 15 mins to get it back up. Anyone have this issue and fix it.

Yes, I had a bunch of apps frozen and couldn't even get the 7MB patch to work. The phone wouldn't restart. I then went into Titanium & unfroze everything. After that, I rebooted, re-downloaded the 7MB patch and everything went fine from there.

So I guess if you have frozen apps, UNFREEZE them. Or, if you have removed them completely, you may have to either re-install them or do a factory reset.

Youthink you went back to Gingerbread but you're not sure? I don't follow.

I wasn't even sure if one COULD go back to Gingerbread without a custom ROM. I'm not really much of an expert; I learn as I go. But my assumption was that if this update is a higher build than your current one, you are S-ON, locked, and not rooted, you are okay. There are a few people who are getting the pre-update file but not the update file while rooted.

My only suggestion is to try a flashback ROM, unrooted, and try then... Or just S-ON, locked bootloader, fastboot off, and install a .12 upgrade PH98IMG.zip file through h-boot. I hear Android Police have one, but check XDA first. They have better file hosting.

I installed the ICS leak, .10 while my phone was still S-ON (I said "f**k it," ICS isn't coming anytime soon. Whoops!). I unlocked and rooted my phone and flashed the "senseless" SlimROM1.9. I read a couple of people claiming they got the update while on the leak, so I thought what the hey, I will unroot and relock and try.

I followed Scotty's unroot guide. I flashed the mini-ruu he had linked thinking it wouldn't really matter even if it was for GB. I figured I could just get back to the locked step and the phone would stay in bootloader until I flashed the leak. (I think that was where my lack of knowledge and "aww f**k it" attitude took me down a path maybe a more knowledgeable person wouldn't go down.) So I flashed the mini-ruu and relocked the phone. I then rebooted and it was in GB (2.3.4 or whatever). I checked the update, and it started downloading the 7mb file. The phone rebooted twice. When it came back on it said the update failed. However, it then popped up the window to download the main update, so I hit okay (f**k it, right?). The OTA downloaded and rebooted my phone. It installed the OTA, so I am now on the official ICS .12 update. So confused....

On a side note. I thought i lost my pics but for some reason after the OTA my sd card un-mounted itself. I hit 'mount' and every thing is back

I'm not sure I follow which way I'm heading with this as I've seen different things.

I installed the .10 leak last week. However, I never did the S-Off or rooted. Other than installing the ICS leak I have done nothing.

Here is my question. Am I suppose to get this OTA or will I be passed by? Just seems like I'm seeing conflicting info regarding yes I will get it, or no I will not since the leak is installed.

I've seen some posts about going back to GB, but not sure I'd attempt that.

The unmounting sd card is a bug in the .10 leak that I have noticed.
I tried reloading the leak and thought that it was fixed but it still comes back whenever I reboot the phone or many times when shutting down with fastboot enabled or using a usb connection. I am hoping this was addressed in the new build so that I don't have to go into storage settings and manually mount the sd card.
