*Rezound ICS OTA is live Thread*

Second thing I did.

The first? Chrome. Which, by the way, is kinda wonky... anyone else using it on the OTA and having ZERO problems? I know Flash is a big issue, but perhaps Verizon was kind enough to make that work?
:smokin:
Yeah, I didn't think so either.
Haven't noticed a problem with flash, it updated in market after the update. Haven't played with it much though admittedly

My phone is acting up after the install. Every time I press the home button a white screen with the green HTC letters pulls up and then it has to load. Anybody know what the deal is?

what was the dev options we were talking about yesterday? Something about unchecking 'allow background processes' or something?

Hey everyone... just curious, how are you folks liking the boot speed?

Seem improved...

Hmmm... I thought it was actually about the same or slightly better, are you sure it's not because we have all been fiddling with our phones most of the day? :)

^This, lol (probably)

I been kicking the idea around of going ahead and factory resetting it. Will that give me the option to keep the stuff on SD card (not exsdcard)? Anyone know?

If you're asking about the White HTC screen coming up after backing out of apps, it was

'Settings' - 'Developer Options' - 'Don't keep activities'.

When checked, the HTC screen came up every time...

Just wanted to share that I finally got the OTA last night. It was in two pieces as has been reported. Strangely and unexpectedly, it didn't wipe my phone at all. Apps and data all still intact and I can finally install ICS only apps like Chrome and Nova Launcher. So happy.

One thing that was weird that may or may not help people is that the confirmation box would come up saying that the second part had been downloaded and allowed me to take, reject or cancel the upgrade but with Beautiful Widgets feature where is has the weather animations show when the phone is turned on from standby, the box would disappear and no amount of hitting the check for new software button would bring it back. Finally had to go into the Beautiful Widgets widget and turn off that option. Then the box stayed visible and I was able to choose the option to take the update. The install was fairly fast and very smooth.

It installed just fine on mine. All currrent/old apps, data and settings are intact (didn't lose anything). It was a seamless upgrade.

I had the micro-USB power plugged in while at it - be sure you guys do too!

It took like 30 minutes or so as it cycled thru various stuff.... downloading after downloading, reboot after reboot, etc. Everything was auto... don't mess/touch the phone after it starts the first/small 7MB file. For a moment it rebooted normally and stopped there at a "4GLTE" screen for the longest time and i thought it locked up!! Then i remembered i waited for half a year... so waiting a few more hours should not be a problem!! Then several minutes later it happily continued its way to download/install more stuff and when it was all done, everything looks/works great!! :D

For boot flashing the IMG.zip - And make sure that you have fast boot turned off first, or you won't get down to the bootloader. ;)

And if you've seen on other threads... they suggest flashing twice. Since fast load "on" is the default setting, you'll need to go through minimum setup steps so you can get to settings and turn it off for the second flash.

I know that neither my Eris or the Itomic tablet at work can obtain the IP address from my Rezound. Running.10 leak, no root, HBOOT locked, S-On. That's all I can tell anyone.

I tested my HTC Flyer with my house WiFi off last night right after my ICS update and had Internet connection. I had changed the name of the connection and rebooted. But now it won't work. I have tried different fixes and WiFi hot spots, nothing will work. Trying a work around that allowed the original HTC Incredible non-rooted to work as a hot spot, but not successful yet.

Ugh!

I'm in! Always need something good to bitch about. :)

Bitch about how horrendous Verizon's customer service is, how they want to screw everyone over and rake in record profits in spite of the breakneck speed at which their 4G network is expanding, and how they will try every trick in the book to make you want to change plans, thus eliminating unlimited data. But please, don't bitch about wanting Jellybean... It.just makes Android users look stupid.

If you really want Jellybean, or whatever comes after it, get rooted and install a custom ROM. Otherwise, leave the bitching at home

Sorry if this has been posted. I haven't been able to keep up with every post.

Just FYI for anyone who has not received the OTA.

I live in a Verizon "extended" area and didn't receive my OTA until I drove down to a Verizon service area. I received an update notification as soon as I hit the 4g. So if you are still waiting, and live outside an official Verizon area like me, you might need to give this a try. (I am not rooted or any of that)

So far I like it except I did the thing where you can adjust the size of a widget, and now it won't go back. Overall my phone seems to run a little quicker and more smoothly. I want to do a factory reset, but dread putting everything back in its place.

Thanks everyone on here for your comments and help.
